Great food and nice atmosphere. Salsa bar was excellent. We will be coming back for sure.. Dave and Lisa
I eat at Lima Limon frequently. Everything is made fresh when you order it, but that takes time. The flavors are a treat for those that wish to escape the mundane routine menu.
I have had negative experiences at many restaurants that people rave about, and sadly, one can get that bad day about anywhere.
I would give the food a 5, the service being slow a 3, and the atmosphere a 4. The bar side is excellent for BSU Football games, no smoking. Warm, attractive restaurant and bar.
For those that seek a fresh, friendly, and unique dining experience, I highly recommend Lima Limon!
What a great little shop! I nearly passed right by it on the way out of the building from having lunch next door in the hallway. Spent some time on my lunch break browsing and made a lovely purchase. I will definitely keep Que Pasa in mind for gift ideas and my monthly personal purchase! P.S. bring cash.
I absolutely love authentic Mexican food and was so excited to try this place. Maybe we just hit a bad night but I really did not like my dish, and I just got a regular nothing special chicken quesodilla. Figured I'd start with something safe that I couldn't go wrong with. The chicken was dry and smelled bad. It was enough for me not to want to come back.
been here a few times, not too good, wont go back!
Went to this restaurant tonight to celebrate a friend's birthday. I must say this was absolutely the worst dining experience of my life!! Here is a summary of my experience there:
1) lousy, inconsiderate service. After waiting over an hour for our food, the waitress did not have the decency to apologize for the horrible service. She doesn't have a clue how to treat people and should not be a waitress!
2) We had to get our own drinks!
3) I ordered a chicken sandwich. I was given a steak sandwich with no explanation, no effort to make it right by bringing me what I ordered! The waitress is in the wrong job field! She has not clue how treat customers or admit her mistakes.
4) My steak sandwich was awful, too much grizzle in the meat and hard to chew. Again, I was supposed to be given what I ordered- a chicken sandwich!! But, she did not even say anything or make an effort to do the right thing!
5) Our food arrived about 1 hr and 25 minutes after our order was placed!
No more for me!
I did not know we had a Brazilian steak house in Boise.
Our server was awesome! Went here for dinner with my girlfriend this last weekend and the food was awesome. The real joy though was how attentive and kind our server was. We had a great time. 5/5 would dine...again.
My parents and I went to Boise for the first time on December 27, 2014. We were excited to have finally gotten the chance to visit the area. We went into the restaurant and it all seemed nice. The reason for a one star rating is two things. One the waiter that we had was not very good, he had an attitude that said I am too good to work here. Crappy service makes for a never return trip even though the food tasted good. The second reason is that even though the food tasted good, my entire family got sick after. My mother got sick to the point of having to go to the hospital. Safe to say this is a chain that we will never visit again!
The food is good, service is bad.... Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.
Outstanding! Authentic, run by Cuban family. As a Cuban myself, I can attest the food is terrific. Try the combo appetizer which includes plantain bananas and croquettes! Keep in mind the flavoring is very "tangy" (tropical) with terrific steamed rice and beans. Yucca is a great slow cooked veggie covered in olive oil, tangy lemon, spices and onions. A must to try. Cuban food is NOT spicy. Enjoy!
Have seen more stock and better quality elsewhere in Boise.
The El Gallo Giro in Kuna is the best Mexican food in Idaho hands down. Great service, great atmosphere, great drinks, and most of all great food. If you want to go there on the weekend make sure you have a reservation or you will never get in. I've seen people lined up for a whole block trying to get in. Go there on your birthday and you will get to wear a sunbrerro and they will sing to you. Try the fresh guacamole made table side.
went there last night with another couple, we heard this place rocks, the BEST, well
it was not even close to being average, mall food, taco bell will beat this.
227's Taco Chili' Bell Tasty Tacos and Tasty Nachos are the best!!! Put some Chili' on dat!!! Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 (227's YouTube Chili' Taco Bell NBA Mix) http://www.youtube.com/TheTacobell227 Boise State Basketball at Taco Bell Chili' Arena!!! BSU Broncos to the NCAA Tournament!!!
I'm going to get another fajita burrito right now. Completely delicious!
was no better than the food court at the mall, maybe we hit a bad night.
we will not chance it again!
Rod and Estrella
We've always enjoyed the food at the Boise location (can't speak for the Nampa location) and never had issues with cheese not being melted, but I've always has some meat, usually I like pork. One of my favorites is Shrimp al Mojo de Ajo, but Enchiladas Verde & Enchiladas Mexicana are two other favorites, my wife prefers Marlin’s Especial & Leticia’s Especial.
I gave them 5 stars, but my wife was disappointed once with one server, but overall we've had excellent service. Myself I really like them and are one of maybe 3 Mexican Restaurants I really like.
I recommended them to a couple from Georgia, and when speaking to them last they can't wait to be back here so the 4 of us can go there.
If you are looking to fuel up for the day, afternoon, night and want some sustaining food, nothing gets it done better than a burrito from Parrilla. Breakfast or otherwise, you will be satisfied... and the staff is a lot of fun too. Skiers and snowboarders take note... Hitting up Parrilla before hitting the hill makes a big difference :)
I love Cafe Ole!!! But I think this review was written years ago. There hasn't been a taco bar for about 3 years now, but instead they have this awesome bar bites menu--it's smaller portions-great with drinks, and they are half price during happy hour so they all only cost about $3.50.
Not to mention the hand poured ritas are by far the best in town. I always sit in the bar at the downtown location and have never had anything other than superb service.
