Re: “MickeyRay's Roadhouse Barbecue

Took my wife there on Mother's Day. Big mistake. After we both ordered ribs, the waitress returned to tell us they were out of ribs and it would be a few hours. Impressive for a BBQ joint. I ordered the breaded pork tenderloin. It was not breaded and tasted mostly burned. My sons ordered the kids riblet, which was just a bone with some sauce on it...literally nothing to eat off of it. They ended up eating the rest of my burned sandwich. The best thing I had was a coke, which was cold and tasty. Their parking lot is almost always empty, even during meal hours. This should be your first clue that this is not a good restaurant. Go to GoodWood instead.

Re: “Nam King

Terrible at best, food was so bland I might as well eaten ice cubes. They have no idea what an egg roll is (hint it's rolled and in a wrap) and pork whatever you don't just have nasty dish (and the fried rice and chow mien are nasty) in a pot staying hot then put a couple of pieces of pork on it. Last bit not least when someone calls to complain don't yell at them (see Amy's baking company).

Re: “Joe Mama's

We had an amazing breakfast experience on Friday. As soon as we were seated the waitress brought our water, then returned timely to take our orders. We ordered the corned beef hash w/house potatoes & sourdough, and chicken friend steak with house potatoes and the pancake. CB&H was very good, very authentic, but the sourdough toast was a little too dry - the strawberry jelly helped. The chicken fried steak was great, but that pancake was TO DIE FOR! Most flavorful pancake I've EVER had. BTW, the food was served expeditiously, and hot, and our server I found out later was the owner. What a great experience we had! Loved it!

Re: “The View At Broadmore

Copper Canyon is now The View. Same location but new management and chef. Service was friendly but forgetful. Waiter forgot to bring our drink order. Had to ask for water refill. My steak was grisly, looked and tasted like it had been cooked while still frozen, thus boiled. Limp vegetables. My friend's fish was fine.

Re: “Cucina di Paolo

Sorry it took us so long to find this gem - our fault, not theirs. Food was delicious, Mary Jean's personal service made the experience.

Re: “Mazzah-Parkcenter

Oh boy, where do I start? My husband went there with co-workers and tried to convince me to go with him the next time. He said the food was amazing. Me, being super stubborn, didn't want to but he finally convinced me. I regret not going sooner! I crave this food all the time! It's absolutely delicious. I just wish there was a restaurant out toward meridian or nampa. Definitely worth the money!

Re: “The Gyro Shack

so, we're new to town and went to another place that serves gyro's and we loved it. So we figured we'd give this a try. BIG mistake. Their chicken is like a thick slice of bologna. Nasty. Will not ever eat there again. Ever.

Re: “Shige Japanese Cuisine

The first bite of sushi I ever ate was at Shige's. It was like eating gold. Shige personally sang happy birthday to me, and prepared every facet of my meal with precision and love. He is a great man, his food is great, and I will always support his restaurant.

Re: “Shige Japanese Cuisine

I would highly recommend visiting Shige! My husband and I go there weekly to enjoy their amazing sushi. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We have been to other sushi places but none of them compare.

Re: “Harry's Hideaway Bar and Grill

Menu is very limited. No options if you don't eat meat, go else where before you hit a show at Majestic.

Re: “A'Tavola

I feel like the Linen district gets missed and with that many people are missing out on this place. This shop is lovely and it has a fun charming air about it. It also has great delicious food. It has good portions I never feel as if I over eat and I am not still hungry after I eat. The food quality is great everything tastes fresh and it tastes just baked. It is wonderful a wonderful place.

Re: “Bleubird

There is a reason why you see the line going out the doors, this place is a delightful lunch spot. The ingredients are great, the food is fresh, and the dishes are a great take on some of the classics such as the grilled cheese. That was a lovely surprise and you will see why when you taste it. Also the chefs/owners are super sweet, nice and they are just awesome people =)
