Re: “PowerHouse Event Center

-***NEGATIVE STARS NEEDED FOR THIS COMPANY AND THEIR MANAGEMENT
YOU DO NOT want to have your event at this place. They will turn your supposed to be positive experience into a horrible one. Stay away! They want all the money and will charge you extra for anything they can but do not pay their vendors or contractors. The kitchen is also nasty with fecal matter.

Re: “Living Word Church Meridian

After years of oppression from drug addiction and having been prayed over by so many pastors, in my wildest dreams I never believed that God thru Jesus Christ would deliver me in such a small but very, very spiritual place of worship! Pastor Okhee is a major tool used by God and I'm living proof of The Power of Christ... Isaiah 61

Re: “Discovery State Park

The grounds keeper is a creeper. He likes to ride his four wheeler and try to zig zag through your dogs. He yells at you if your dogs are not on a leash right outside the water. He is uber weird. Don't go there alone if you are a woman, he tries to intimidate you and it feels like he might be a bit off....

Re: “Epworth Chapel on the Green

A friendly, welcoming group holding ancient worship in a sacred space. Traditional music and liturgy, plus discussion afterwards with refreshments.

Re: “Meridian Senior Center at the Park

My husband and I rented these facilities last year for our wedding and sadly I can NOT recommend anyone use them. To start with you could never get ahold of the event coordinator. Her voicemail was always full and she never called back. Second no one gave us the number of who to call if we had issues during the wedding. When we walked in, The men's bathroom had completely flooded and we were forced to clean up water all night. If that was not bad enough they blamed us for the damage and kept the entire $400 deposit. Though it was not required we mopped the floors and cleaned up chairs yet on our invoice they claimed we left a mess with computer cords unplugged and that the front door was broken. When we attempted to get in touch with them to disputed the charges they refused to call us back because the "voicemail was full." For a young, newly married couple they did everything they could to make things difficult. Save yourself from the greif when you return from your honeymoon, have your wedding where you will be treated well.

Re: “Wilder

NOT even 1 star rating but there is no lower to chose, this was originally billed as a Blue Grass Festival with some older but big Country stars, that was never set into motion, nor was any of the local talent.....nothing but a flea market at best.....
(would hope to see this site check further into the validity of events before posting them..by no means the fault of Boise Weekly, but would not like to see things like this hurt the rep of the best site for "what to do" in the area!)

Re: “Meridian Public Library

Nice library. Well laid out with many resources. The only problem is that the "quiet" areas are not quiet, so if you need a quiet place to study this can be challenging. Often library patrons tend to socialize loudly throughout the library, which kind of defeats the purpose.
