Loved the food and the service was amazing! these guys were top notch!! OH ... Try the Turkish coffee .. WOW! have never had anything like it before ... it was so good! What a great place it was !!! I will be back! YUMMY and so fun!
Great place to go if you like baby daddies, homeless alcoholics and drug addicts. Saw a couple sitting out on the smoking patio, in the middle of the day sharing a bowl and it didn't contain tobacco. Came inside to sit next to a guy who smelled like he hadn't showered in a month and promptly proceeded to ask me if I would buy him a drink. Did I mention I'm female? Yeah. Had another guy ask if I knew where he could score some crack... And yet another guy, old enough to be my father and didn't have teeth, put his hand on my ass and call me baby, then ask me the same thing the homeless guy who didn't know that you can bathe at the Y did. Don't get me started on the bartenders... I agree with the previous comment on that one. If they didn't just get out of prison, they rolled out of a trailer park or worse. After I went home and took a shower, I vowed to never return. There are better places to get a cheap drink.
So much love for this place! Oh my gosh. The bartenders are the best in Boise, the booze is mixed perfectly and fairly priced and don't get me started on the food. They've hired a new chef, the pork chops have changed. They were amazing before, now? For 14 bucks you can get the tenderest piece of heaven you ever put in your mouth. Try it with one of a hundred delicious cocktails, rums, brandies, vodka's or brews on their extensive list. This place is a treasure.
Dirty fits. This bar is over crowded, over priced and VERY over-rated. IF you can actually get to the bar, through the smelly, drunken meat market crowd that is packed from wall to wall and not being monitored by security at all... Get ready to empty your wallet in a hurry. The bartender wanted 7 bucks for a wells rum and coke and it took 20 minutes for her to get it to me... I suppose thats ok, if you're interested in staring at ass... Like China Blue, the bartenders dress like hookers. The drink itself was so watered down you could barely taste the rum, if there was any. I hadn't gotten more then half of it down when some drunk bimbo bumped into me and spilled it everywhere. She then proceeded to ask me if I was interested in coming home with her and her boyfriend, who looked like he had just stepped off the set of Jersey Shore. He looked at me like I was a complete moron when I said no thanks. Single girls beware... I have heard several reports of drinks being spiked and security dumping the victims in the ally behind the club and closing the door behind them.
Jaker's has committed suicide. The happy hour is no more. The prices are higher. The Easter brunch was priced sky high for the meager offerings. They have had an almost total turn over in staff and attitude. The climate is now cold and devoid of taste.
I will miss the old Jaker's, but will look forward to new establishment taking over the spot.
On The Border is loud and crass. They serve large portions of poorly prepared mushy food. My "Dos XX" fish tacos were so over heated, the greens were sauteed.
The guacamole was as smooth as Jiff peanut butter and devoid of character.
They do not print drink prices on the menu. This stupid lack of transparency should indicate that the customer can pay what they they think the libations were worth.
If they do not post the price, it must be up to the drinker to decide, right?
I would have simply left it not for it being a family birthday event with a few guests.
I will never return, and the taste of being ripped off for $8 margaritas that were weak and bland will linger.
I enjoyed a very nice meal with my family. The food was very good and the service was fast, welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere of restaurant was comfortable, visually interesting and clean. The staff was appropriately and professionally dressed, polite and attentive. Prices were reasonable for being a nicer dinning establishment. I'm looking forward to enjoying a meal here again. Thanks to everyone who took care of us.
best kept secret happy hour, my wife and I share an app, each have a drink, all under $10
First of all no such thing as a strip club in Idaho, lame laws from prude moralists. Been to all in Boise, like to chill here, play pool and have some drinks. Girls vary, sometimes very friendly, sometimes they sit by the fire, text and ignore everyone.
Was a regular patron of the Broadway location years ago and was looking forward to seeing if anything had changed. I have not been disappointed. Food has been very good and is a good value for the cost--especially happy hour and after 9. Staff has been great and they have accommodated every request to switch TV to desired station. We'll definitely be back!
Love this bar!!! Cheap drinks, great atmosphere, and I get to play my own music. No more smoking and all the staff is friendly and courteous. I wouldn't start or end my night anywhere but here!!
The Creekside Lounge and Peregrine Restaurant are now closed. February, 2013.
Overall food is pretty good. Comfortable atmosphere.
The Cheerleader salad with steak or chicken is the best for those watching their calories. (Dressing on the side.) I patronize them a lot and have always had good service. It's a noisy sports bar restaurant, not Chandler's. But, for that type of restaurant, I'll give it 5 stars.
Everytime go there I get into a fight! Bunch of d***heads there, Staff is wondereful! But if your not a "regular", find another place, or be ready to brawl! Stupid!
This all sounds horrible...I have never been there, but after reading these posts I think I will wait to see Volbeat at a different venue, THANKS everyone for saving me some money!!!
WOULD LIKE A FULL REFUND AS I PAID FOR VIP AND NOT CLOSE
TO WHAT I GOT. NO DRINK, NO FOOD, AND NO PLACE OR TABLE TO SIT AT AND NOT EVEN
A GOOD VIEW OF THE DANCERS this was so stupid and lame
Attended the Robert Irvine show. Also removed my constructive criticism from the venue site. The club owner is a lush and drops "f" bombs at an all ages show .
