Re: “The Lingering Stink

I met Obama, He stinks way more than Trump. You will find Obama and the wife are more stinky than you could ever guess in the coming years. I didn't like either Bush. Reagan gave me jellybeans about the same moment he was waxing some Iranians.

You are having a tizzy fit because you lost. Suck it up. How Trump got elected is the country got tired of trash and whining such as you wrote here. Example, my 5th grader came home with school district approved materials which are basically gay recruitment materials.

That is how Trump won. People finally smelled the Obama and flushed twice. Enough people pulled their heads out for the first time in a long time. Hoping our government will now focus on what it should focus on and have mass layoffs and closures of all the fluffy departments added since Nixon.

More pig-ignorant bile from the once and future Cope. The world was a better place without his steaming piles of hatred. What happened?

You're the best at what you do, Bill. Insulting Repulsican Conturds and Contards. Keep up the good work!

Re: “Running?

Ahhh... having Bill Cope back, even if it's just now-n-then, is like a breath of stale air!

I always love the unintended irony. F'r instance..."kindness is superior to cruelty." When juxtaposed against the rest of this, or pretty much any of the esteemed author's columns, it puts a smile on my face! Cope lecturing us about "kindness" is like Bill Clinton lecturing us about "fidelity"!

While Cope is gnashing his teeth and clenching his fists, it's likely that a majority of Idahoans are relieved that MAYBE the direction we are headed is finally better than than the last 8 years. (Speaking for myself, I'm hardly giving President Trump a thumbs-up of approval - the jury is still out. But, I'm relieved that we survived President Obama.)

I second Cope's notion of running for office. It's not for me, at least at this point in my life... but if you feel the urge, GO FOR IT!!! (We ARE often not given very good choices in our candidates, and government at all levels should be by CITIZENS, and not CAREER POLITICIANS.)

Re: “Defriended

I'm thinking being "defriended" isn't a shallow fraudulent friendship. It isn't a matter of surviving partisan political opinions, if it isn't obvious that Trump is mentally unbalanced and that the Republican Congress has become a threat to humankind well, it should be. This isn't a pleasant agree to disagree, let bygones be bygones, it is what it is moment. It is what you make it and right now it's a disaster!

Re: “Defriended

Your narrative hit me hard. Some of the once heavy buckets I carried are now very light. The bottoms didn't fall out, but very large holes did appear. I will tilt them to keep a hopeful bit of sand inside. I think some of my friends who voted for slumpty dumpty are feeling guilty at this point.

Re: “Defriended

What a drama queen, is Mr. Cope!

I had people under my own roof who voted for a different presidential candidate than I did. We discussed politics leading up to November 8th. They had their ideas, I had mine; I don't know if anybody's mind was changed as a result of our sometimes "lively" discussions.

On November 9th, we were all still friends!

If you were "defriended" by somebody because of how you voted - you are better off for it! What kind of shallow fraudulent friendship is it, if it won't survive differences in partisan political opinions?!!

Re: “Get Relentless

Omigosh! Willya look at this?!! More Bile from Bill! (Votta countrie!)

I've kinda assumed that since election day, Bill had prolly been kicking his dog, throwin' stuff across the room, lashing out at Mrs. Cope, etc. FANTASTIC it is, that Boise Weekly has seen the need for a professional name-caller! Some artists work with paints or musical instruments... Bill's talent is "poison pen," for sure!! Welcome back, Bill. (I don't know why I added that... he professes to never read the comments.)

His totally-predictable attack on Evil Trump would have a lot more weight if, in the paragraph before, he hadn't sung the praises of another serial liar/cheater - she of the Pant Suits! The ONLY reason I voted for Trump (while holding nose) was on account of the Democrat alternative. I bet millions around the country felt the very same way. (It's unfortunate that Idaho's choices for president - Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz - were sent home early.)

Re: “Killing Truth

When some person or entity is "notorious", it is (by definition) so well known and flagrant about something that nobody disputes whatever characterization is made...such as a notorious criminal gang that operates in a specific neighborhood.

To describe the Birch Society as "notoriously anti-Catholic" is absurd in three respects:

1. Nobody except this author thinks the JBS is "anti-Catholic"
2. Approximately 40% of JBS membership and 2/3 of its original office staff in Belmont MA (its HQ) was Catholic and two Catholic priests served on the JBS National Council (the governing body of the JBS).
3. The only official government investigation ever conducted into the JBS was a 2-year investigation by the California Senate Factfinding Subcommittee on Un-American Activities, This Subcommittee was controlled by Democrats who were allied with the then-Governor of California (Edmund G. "Pat" Brown, a Catholic). Significantly, they never found any anti-Catholic bias within the Birch Society -- even though several Catholics were members of that Subcommittee.

Consequently, we must conclude that Bill Cope is a notoriously ignorant and bigoted individual.

Re: “Mr. Cope's Cave: Stupid, Mean-Spirited, Malignant Things Gun Nuts Do

Gee, don't know what trial you attended. George Zimmerman did none of the things you described, except justifiably kill someone who was attacking him with life threatening blows. The Trayvon Martin was an innocent angel crowd perverted the justice system in Florida, and stupid rants like yours continue to do so. I am quite sure there are many facets of your character that are as distasteful as his. And, by the way, your writing sucks.

Re: “Mr. Cope's Cave: Stupid, Mean-Spirited, Malignant Things Gun Nuts Do

I am no supporter of Zimmerman, but this article (or whatever it is) is severely lacking in the fact check department. First: Martin was 17, not 14. Second: The Stand Your Ground law was never used as a defense in the trial. Third: Stand Your Ground laws have been used as defense more often by black people than whites. So, the contention that it benefits whites and was written so black people could be murdered is a sack of lardy horseshit.

The real obscenity is George Zimmerman, that sack of lardy shit.

Re: “Mr. Cope's Cave: Stupid, Mean-Spirited, Malignant Things Gun Nuts Do

Are you competent enough to write an article without obscenities? That requires a more complete knowledge of the English language so you can rely upon more sophisticated words, but, considering that is allegedly what you are paid to do, why don't you try it.

What is the Jhon Birch society?

Re: “Killing Truth

Conspiracy theories from the 1950's? What is the "Jhon Birch society" and who is "JFK". Where did you people at the Weekly find this old fart. Our pee pee's are the same and the Christians hates us. The President is cool and Black and the Christians hate us. Stop the bullying! The planet is dying and Christians hate us. OMG Becky! The biggots and Christians have taken over the Weekly . . .stop the hate!

Re: “Killing Truth

Did you check with Zach before this rant? He does have a "newspaper" to run and I am sure there are expenses. This is political "science" Cope . . .not some kind of quest for truth justice. Stick to the thing your readers can understand . . .like same pee pee's . . .black vs white . . .and simple verbage like "hate" or "equality". None of your readers know who the "John Birch Society" is and probably don't even know "Kennedy". You sound like some old fart from the 1950's. Go back to that tiny little world in between msnbc and FOX, wade around, and try not to get your ankles wet . . .sweetie.
