Re: “UPDATE: War of Words Ignites Among Idaho GOP In Wake of Defeat of Child Support Measure

I'm so sick of having to be ashamed of our legislators.

Re: “UPDATE: War of Words Ignites Among Idaho GOP In Wake of Defeat of Child Support Measure

Those people avoiding child support payments can come here and work for the employers here that are avoiding paying decent wages and vote for the legislators that are avoiding using common sense. This sounds like a marriage made in heaven or is it hell?

Nutsall must have pictures on enough of the other committee members to push her ignore-ant demented ideas down their throats, since it’s hard to believe that the whole group is that ignorant….well maybe it’s not that hard after all.

This certainly exemplifies the epidemic of idiocy exhibited by the political class and the electorate in the-land-of Idiocracy. Maybe it is better labeled Idahocracy, since Idaho is basically leading the de-evolution into the dark ages. At this point it wouldn’t be surprising to see the legislature propose a bill authorizing Witch Burning.

If Nutsall starts using expressions like “How’s that workin’ out for ya?” it will be crystal clear where she’s getting her enlightened inspiration from.

If anything, it’s time to ‘Take Back America’ from narrow minded nuts like this, although there’s little chance of this happening, given the low level of awareness exhibited by the voters electing these people to represent them.

Re: “UPDATE: War of Words Ignites Among Idaho GOP In Wake of Defeat of Child Support Measure

Well, that just great. So everyone here is for the bill and it's ok that it brings us up to par with International law. The bill says this and that a special office in the Atty General's office would have to be set up and international lawyers would have to be hired. Why do we have to abide by international law? Are all of you commenting want to do away with U.S. law and have international law rule us?

Did I really just read this ignorant BS? Seriously, when do we start to consider Fox News a seditious threat? It's rotting our citizens' minds. These people are crazy AND stupid. I'd have settled for just one.

Re: “UPDATE: War of Words Ignites Among Idaho GOP In Wake of Defeat of Child Support Measure

Sorry Ma'am, but your petty little state law is not going to change or defeat any international treaty to which the US has been a signor.

Go ahead and tilt at windmills, thumb your nose at the feds and a decent law enacted by congress, and by all means, don't take a dollar of US funds for enforcement of child support laws from the feds, because SHARIA LAW.

Little do they know that some aspect of Sharia Law is practiced within every state, every day. Yes, even in backward little Idaho.

What a twit!

Re: “UPDATE: War of Words Ignites Among Idaho GOP In Wake of Defeat of Child Support Measure

There's no law against stupid, but I can't help but think the taxpayers of Idaho should sue a few politicians who have cost this state millions in fines, settlements and lost revenue. Pick a charge, any charge, and there will be many documented examples:

—Nonfeasance is the failure to act where action is required - willfully or in neglect.
—Misfeasance is the willful inappropriate action or intentional incorrect action or advice.
—Malfeasance is the willful and intentional action that injures a party.

Any good attorneys out there interested in becoming a hero for taxpayers?

Re: “Bogus Basin Extends Season Pass Sale, Reaches Out to Community for Help

Be fair this group has been good at walking a tightrope year after year ....Bogus has, in my experience, tried to make the best of good and bad snow seasons since I was mogul mouse in the early eighties. I was paying 200$ for the earlybird season ticket in the later 1990's and now its 229$ or 259$ till the end of April. Compare the drive/price to Tamarack, Brundage, or Sun Valley to get your ski/board on. ......and no I don't work for or am I affilliated (other than my season pass)with Bogus Basin. Buylocalskilocalboardlocal. Love what you've got.

Re: “Bogus Basin Extends Season Pass Sale, Reaches Out to Community for Help

If the folks at Bogus wanted to generate some more revenue, I'd suggest one of those alpine roller coasters. There's some pretty cool gravity rides out there on you tube and I could see it becoming a great summer time attraction. Might be worth looking into.

Re: “Bogus Basin Extends Season Pass Sale, Reaches Out to Community for Help

If the management of Bogus were smart - and certain high-ranking members of the board could read the tea leaves that the future, on average, looks a lot like this year - they would be incentivizing people to renew ski passes by pairing the ski pass with summer benefits... discounts on concerts, etc.

Re: “The Inn at 500 Capitol Gets Green Light From Boise Planning & Zoning

Boise's downtown is now going to look a lot like many other 'mid-major' cities with a plethora of hotels all clumped in a few blocks from each other. Not that bad an idea as long as enough other supporting businesses are interspersed.

Re: “BW Video: Rallying Against Child Abuse at Idaho Capitol

Many children are also physically abused in schools by trusted authority figures.

The cycle of abuse runs very deep in our state.

Re: “Exit Strategy: Idaho Legislature Wrangling With Grocery, Gas Taxes and 'Surplus Eliminator'

What we really need is legislators who have big enough attachments that they are able to make logical, sometimes difficult, decisions. But they would rather coddle the wealthy.

Re: “U.S. Dept. of Ed Report: Greater Need for Idaho Kids to Access Preschool

Might also want to bear in mind Head Start's own assessment of its massive failure. If this large-scale public preschool system that has been "perfected" for the last 50 years fails to produce increased academic performance beyond the 3rd grad, why should we cling to the expectation that an Idaho-based public preschool system might produce some other result?

See, for example, the following assessments made by Dept. of Health & Human Services itself:
http://aspe.hhs.gov/daltcp/reports/headstar.htm at pages 2, 5, & 33
http://aspe.hhs.gov/hsp/StrengthenHeadStart03/report.pdf at pages 3 & 4
