Re: “New York Times Calls For Legalization of Marijuana

LOL at people from Idaho talking trash about NYC. News Flash: All the data coming out of Colorado and Washington is firmly in favor of legalizing marijuana. Tax revenue has increased (the money is going to schools and anti-drug education), crime has decreased and the police and courts are saving tons of money because they don't have to enforce a stupid law. Recent polls have found that marijuana legalization is even more popular in Colorado today than it was when it first happened. The only way you could possibly oppose legalization at this point is if you're either completely ignorant or making money off prohibition.

Re: “New York Times Calls For Legalization of Marijuana

Boy, these pro dope advocates are really well organized. And the pro dope media is absolutely incorrigible. The pro dope New York Times is prestigious? LoL!

Unfortunately, this pro dope campaign is doomed to failure. Why? Because now that Colorado and Washington have legalized marijuana, the negatives are coming fully to light.

Get with the program and stop the effort of politicians to become the drug dealers of the future, drug dealers who will be selling dope to your kids and grandkids. The target market of all dope is kids and young adults.

The most effective campaigners AGAINST marijuana legalization, are those who are thoroughly knowledgeable about marijuana and life altering damage it inflicts on those who become involved with dope. Marijuana usage = delusional thinking, mental illness and social alienation. Dope in short, is for dummies.

Re: “New York Times Calls For Legalization of Marijuana

Voters must realize that:

1) Cannabis is not the demon it has been made out to be.
2) Cannabis prohibition has little effect on usage rates.
3) Prohibition causes many harms at great cost.

Lets end this futile attempt to eradicate something objectively safer than alcohol. This prohibition is very costly (money is only a small part), senseless, unjust, unfounded, harmful, and more importantly, un-American. Please consider what the following cannabis legalization organizations have to say. Help end this prohibition by joining their mailing lists, signing their petitions and writing your legislators when they call for it.

MPP - The Marijuana Policy Project - http://www.mpp.org/
NORML - National Organization to Reform Marijuana Laws - http://norml.org/
LEAP - Law Enforcement Against Prohibition - http://www.leap.cc/
DPA - Drug Policy Alliance - http://www.drugpolicy.org/

Re: “Podcast: Restraints and Seclusion in Public Schools

Can you believe that such things could be done by people who teach children and are supposed to love them? But unfortunately it happens very often. What`s the reason maybe the staff is not professional enough or they need additional examination every year to control their emotional condition or maybe we don`t have enough information how offensive could be the behavior of children (check this service http://www.helponessay.com/ for support with reports) . Anyway these people spend most of time with our children and have patience to bring them up and support them especially when we speak about special educational establishments.

Re: “Hobby Lobby Ruling Inspires 100 More Cases

Really? Is your summation saying that the government should pay for birth control?

I agree in the case of "pods" (which my daughter contracted genetically from her mother) OR ENDOMETRIOSIS, (ARE THEY THE SAME or similar?) and a persistent medical condition is treatable with birth control, it should be paid for by insurance or government heal care.

I remember the days of rejection after rejection by BCBS for my spouse's birth control with documented evidence it was used to treat PODS>

But to think 20 years later BC pills are insurable for mere "birth control" measures?

Bring the sex on young ladies. I am now an old dog divorced male willing to mate as long as the baby is taken care of the government as well. YES, its sarcasm, but I'm sure many young BUCK males are thinking the exact same thought.

Ah, the joys of living in the Fascist state of Idaho. Then again, parents, teach your kids about courtesy, responsibility, cooperation, compassion, decency, AND HUMILITY, and maybe these sort of things would never happen?

Re: “Violent and Legal: The Shocking Ways School Kids Are Being Pinned Down, Isolated Against Their Will

Your story puts tears in my eyes. How can somebody be violent towards children. No, really, we are talking about children who can’t even defend themselves. If someone would do something like that to my child, I’d be ready to smash their face. And I mean it. I think that there is always to talk things out, but it is not the case. Such people deserve bad things to happen with them. So, how can we make sure that when we are sending our children to school they are being taught how to write essays (click here http://essayonlinestore.com/ ), read and other instead of being abused harshly…It is terrible.

Re: “Mormon Church Offers More Compassion to Gays But Won't Change Marriage Stance

Comments on here are quite shocking and highly hypocritical. And just putting it out there, everyone's ethical standards comes from somewhere no matter what you think or say, your own ideas and beliefs do come from somewhere and dictate the way you live. Also, before doughnuts and all these kinds of processed foods were invented, people didn't die so much of cancer and other diseases as they do today...it ain't the people who eat doughnuts who live up to 100 years old and are healthy...

Re: “Violent and Legal: The Shocking Ways School Kids Are Being Pinned Down, Isolated Against Their Will

when my middle son was a toddler, I had put him in a daycare during my college classes. I found out that he cried a lot because he was with strangers. They put him in a room all by himself and shut the door, "because they didn't have time to deal with him." He had autistic like symptoms at this point. Well I quit college, " because I loved him too much to put him through that!" I am sure this happens more than anyone knows...stay home unless you absolutely have to work, that is my advice!

Why is it that any good invention or technological advancement is ultimately distorted, corrupted, or otherwise used for ulterior reasons rather than any potential 'good' it may have started out as.

Re: “US Lawmakers Delete Pro-Bergdahl Tweets

If Obama had done the opposite and it was leaked that he had an opportunity to free Bergdahl but didn't because he was a possible deserter, the GOP would have been just as livid as they are now. McCain would have spewed how unpatriotic it was to leave any American behind no matter what his record. He'd also say, as he has in the past, that even if we had to trade 5 for 1, it should have been done. So the moral of the story is the same as the day Obama took office - the GOP will block and criticize anything Obama does. They wait for him to decide, then spin stories in opposition.

Re: “US Lawmakers Delete Pro-Bergdahl Tweets

Fox News - an oxymoron if there ever was one. Oh, his beard makes him look like a member of the Taliban, eh? Has Fox taken a look around lately? A great number of men from their 20's on up are sporting 'huge' beards these days, especially in the U.S. Northwest!
