Actually, the show is this Saturday the 16th!
listen to the album in its entirety here: www.matthopper.com
I saw them at Mootsy's in Spokane. Don't miss this show! Actually, only one of the females screams, but she takes the head of the microphone in her mouth, and then lets go. Awesome.
Loved the concert!
Recalling that someone once said "critics are those who talk smack about those who actually have some talent".
I don't love Nickelback, but was this even necessary? Do I CARE what you think? Apparently neither do the millions who do spend their money to hear Nickelback, when we can see Mr. Gross' work for free.. I guess we get what we pay for. If you don't care for the band, then don't go to the show, but geez man, get a life. Just looking to cook up some fifteen minutes of fame for yourself by bashing your betters, and yes, it worked- but we're on to your little game.
Great concert last night and if you missed it, start praying Dave Alvin and the Guilty Ones come back our way again soon.
this guy is an idiot, they went big time and mainstream but they still really talented, and lets face it they make a lot of money. the only reason people bash them so bad is because they're so good.
LOL! And then I accidentally misnamed the author of the piece. Mea culpa, Andrew.
Martin, you've accidentally switched the names of the two artists you're referring to in the band. (This same error is made on Pandora's profile of Hey Marseilles.) The lead singer is Matt Bishop, and the guitarist is Nick Ward.
Marshall Poole, not "the Marshall Poole Band," is very legit! Three amazing young musicians who sound great together! Great song writing as well! One on the best local bands in some time.
Any way you say it, Golively is right. These kids are going places fast!
It's Marshall Poole not "the Marshall Poole Band"
They are officially called Marshall Poole not the Marshall Poole Band
They are known as Marshall Poole. Talented trio!
Marshall Poole is a talented rock trio. Surprised they are not in the Tree fort line-up? Either way this young group is one to be watching.
This is pretty rad. When SXSW first started(before the corporate chomp) this is exactly what other venues around Austin did. It essentially makes the whole festival just a touch larger and more diverse.
Josh, the photo posted of Piranhas BC thats on this page and in the Boise Weekly on page 21 was taken by me. There was no photo credit given! To see more of my photos please visit my photo facebook page: www.facebook.com/houseofcarney
This event was loud with talkers, as usual in Boise!

They played here back in the day with Modest Mouse. Washed Out, Helio Sequence, I'm so happy to see SubPop records isn't forgetting about us over here!
Apologies Nashville Pussy. Make that Saturday night. 'Ol Road Hog had the card turned up side down!
