This display has nothing to do with science, and everything to do with a particular religious fantasy.
Why give free publicity to this farce? Have you bothered to look into the problems Ken Ham's creationist museum is having in Kentucky and what he has been forced to do in order to keep the doors open? Of course, malarkey does not pay. Not even in the Bible Belt.
So why do the media here act as if there were nothing better to do than give free publicity to this insult to education? Maybe instead you could interview local educators about their responses to the fabulous recent series, "Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey," which aired on - of all things - Fox?
C'mon, BW. You can do better.
The Northwest Science Museum is to science what mimes are to recorded music.
All the "museum" needs are animatronic dinosaurs and Idaho could have it's own verson of Ken Ham's Kentucky (buckle of the Bible Belt) Creation Museum, laughing stock of the intellectual world.
People who try to explain pictures are usually barking up the wrong tree
The article reads "we've all visited the Basque Block." It doesn't say anything about Bardenay being Basque.
Although, I don't speak for Bardenay, I'd say they're "Basque-enthusiastic."
Ahem, Bardenay is not a basque restaurant...

How can we donate?
The intent of A.R.P.A was never intended to be used to the extreme it is used today by Archaeologists, they are making their own laws to insure their jobs.
I find envy to be the biggest difference between one who enjoys detecting and those who think it should be outlawed. Most of what I find is worthless to everyone but me, because I enjoyed the happy moment of finding it.
Miserable people with no hobbies to entertain themselves I find always turn their nose up at others who know how to live life and are happy.
Please note that this event is SOLD OUT and there will be ZERO tickets available at the door.
Metal detecting is a wholesome family pastime, and the idea that everything should be left in the ground is ridiculous. Who are we leaving it to? The highway crew, the shopping center developer, the farmer, the tornado, hurricane or flood? People who detect clean up the trash and share their finds via community displays. No one is "stealing" anything and to use that word is insulting to those of us who enjoy the hobby.
I'm sure the archaeologists who had "found" King Tut's treasures donated everything they "found" to museums.... right?? If it is in the ground, nobody knows it is there..not even the archaeologists. Why get upset when an item gets found by a metal detectorist, when the archaeologist didn't even know it was there to begin with? If it is so important to the archaeology people, they should have already known about it and retreived the item from the ground.
Im brand new to this where do I go t o look for gold nuggets... my email address is Deboranunes1000@yahoo.com please reply..thankyou...
Good article, in as much as I agree with most of what has been said.
Items found should be for all to see, and not to sell for a profit.
The history of an artefact belongs to everyone.
More rich Mormon elite schools please, to white-wash the music! Shooby do whop Jazz!
Poorly reported BW. Found out too late that the trade show and lecture series took place at Boise Centre on the Grove on Friday, April 25. At the very least maybe could've considered the heading "April 25-26"?
This is the first announcement I've seen. Thanks, BW, for bringing it to my attention. I used to hold kitemaking workshops and an annual Idaho Kite Festival in Pocatello, but haven't gotten back into it much since moving to the Treasure Valley. It will be fun to meet some kiters.
Well, the first time I had a major panic attack the doctor put me on xanax but it messed with my head really badly and I had memory issues. My discharge papers noted that while medicated by it I had little to no acknowledgement of externally inflicted bodily harm/pain. What I do remember is waking up the next day with a swollen ankle and multiple bruises that hurry like hell from walking into things or just letting the car door close on me.
Later, someone recommended me this treatment, and I’m very grateful with it, i can go anywhere i want without problem, no anxiety, no panic attacks, i'm a new person. Read this article, it helped me a lot : panicsolutionkey.com
