I want to make it perfectly clear that Vagerfly was NOT topless! They were wearing little stick on bra things that were painted like eyeballs! Being topless at a place that serves alcohol is illegal and we do not allow it at anytime EVER!
I really don't want a visit from ABC so one more time for the record THEY WERE NOT TOPLESS!
F Doug and F BTS. Doug's wife is a freaking troll.
Boycott Build to Spill. Front man Doug Martsch and his hack poet wife, Karena Youtz, are against children's arts programs. They are actively tring to kill the Treasure Valley Institute for Children's Arts. Karena even went so far as to compare TrICA to the invasion and occupation of Iraq. Doug and Karena, a local musician and a local "poet" are enemies of children's arts programs. Punish them by boycotting their business, Built to Spill. Hey BTS, why not try supporting some local causes instead of being selfish, self centered North End NIMBY Nazis?!?!? Huh????
Yes, he is awesome and underrated. His talent should have him sitting on piles of money!!!
I love this. Kelly's love for music pours out of every word... now i'm going to look up some new music. score.
I thought the show was awesome and Neal Schon still has it -- with or without Steve Perry. His guitar solos are excellent -- if I didn't want to hear one of his live solos, I would put my headphones on and listen to a recording.
I have been a diehard Journey fan since the 1980s and I support each and every singer for their contribution to this band. I'm grateful to each one of them for keeping the Journey alive! Besides, the singer is not the only part of the band; each player has their own unique addition to the music.
I saw Steve Perry at a show during his solo tour in 1994. Sure, he was great but if "flexman" is wanting to hear the real Journey "sound" as stated in his/her post, he wil be disappointed. The band that toured with Steve Perry didn't sound anything at all like Neal and the guys; they just sounded like a cover band playing for Steve Perry.
This year's concert at the Taco Bell Arena rocked! The accoustics were great, the stage presentation was beautiful and the guys were ON FIRE. I made an eight hour trek to see this show and I am very thankful that I did. Other than the confusion of the stairs in the arena, I didn't have anything to complain about.
Too bad others have to "dis" Neal Schon. Frankly, I think he 'hung the moon' with his music style. Keep that in mind, folks. Without him and the other guys that are still willing, Journey wouldn't be "alive".
It's nice to see that Heart is still "Heart". Too bad Neal Schon can't get over Steve Perry as he knows the band is dead with out Steve's "sound". I was in high-school when they appeared on the scene way back when and Journey was going nada without a frontman. Gregg Rollie had unique pipes but couldn't carry them to the next level. Steve Perry shows up and the rest is obvious history. To me, it's karaoke at best when Neal parades around the country like he's in 1985. He moves over to Bad English and the sound is now John Waite (from the Babies). I guess that will be his next gig, Bad English Part Deux with some John Waite sound-alike! He also can't get over the fact that Steve gets the same royalties he does and Steve isn't even working these days. However, Stay tuned for a Steve Perry album this next year. When Steve goes on the road, I'll be there to hear authentic Journey once again. Neal, a bit of advice, move on and get your own sound.
Bottle this awesome sauce and sell it to the President's grandma. She'll live another fifty years, gar-un-teed.
I must say that most of the audience did hang off every word during K'naan's spoken word performance of Somalia. However one booze fueled audience member near to me thought it was either appropriate or funny to yell "USA" during a dramatic pause, not cool.
boo, did you actually listen to the album? What a poor review. Sounds like you're commenting on your anger that Oberst has been compared to Dylan. Get over it, and if you write a review then listen to the album first.
I don't know why everyone has to criticize Nickelback; I love their CD's and Dark Horse in particular. To criticize them for selling in Walmart is unfair; AC/DC released their Black Ice CD in Walmart as well. As did many other artists. I like their lyrics...I listen to it all the time, along with AC/DC and others....Get over it and let them be...obviously, fans like them if they're buying their CD's and going to their concerts...and ultimately, that's all that counts!
I think the album rocks, I listen to it 5 or 6 times aday
i love you mathias.
Uh, "I'm Sticking With You" is a famous Velvet Underground song, weirdo.
Clearly you were not there for Def Leppard. At least Billy Idol will be joining them for the next leg of the North American ARENA tour. Then Styx can go back to playing theatres and livestock shows.
Gobena is the bassist, not the MC.
A wobderful piece of writing by my granddaughter, my only grandshild.
I should correct myself: I believe Liars are now an L.A. band. Hard to keep track - NY, Berlin, Los Angeles...
low-fi is a breath of fresh air...Boise needs.
The acoustics at that bar don't seem real good
