Re: “Nuttin' Yahoo

It's a disgrace that member of Congress showed more respect to a foreign prime minister than to our own president of the United States. More respect shown the Israeli flag than our own. Congre$$ can be bought. Shameful.

Re: “Nuttin' Yahoo

It sure has been fun watching butt-hurt liberals squirm leading up-to and following the address given by Prime Minister Netanyahu. Not surprisingly, he intimidated the Hell out of all the gutless liberal left. You see, he’s an actual leader – something the spineless lefty crowd is just not familiar with. He also clearly has traits such as conviction, character, love of country, etc. – again, just not things the liberal left is able to comprehend. The other thing PM Netanyahu clearly has is wisdom, more specifically, the wisdom to understand that Iran is playing Obama and Kerry like the dunces they truly are. Bottom line is this – anything short of complete support of Israel against the tyranny of genocidal, radical Islam is both egregiously ignorant and unforgivable.

I have never seen or heard about anyone ever having a foreign leader tell us what to do. Disgraceful GOP.

Re: “Ice Cream Social Activism

How many flavors? How many states? And NO federal ruling to "protect" us from the hateful biggots who are so un-educated that they can only see chocolate , vannila and strawberry? Thank God (litteraly) that we only have the pennis and vagina. If medical science ever develops a third sex . . .your magazine woud be larger than the New York Times, the judicial system would be overbooked for five decades and the "add the words" crowd would be calling for an encyclopedia of new legislation.

Re: “Child Abuse

John....Very good! But don't miss the elephant in the living room.

The current dumbing down through technology, is a logical extension of the longstanding deliberate dumbing down of millions of children by the folks that designed and implemented the public 'education' system.

The sad reality is that an overwhelming majority of students that are manufactured by the 'education' system are deliberately permanently mentally handicapped in order to produce compliant wage slaves that will produce more wealth for the parasites at the top of the economic heap. And this has been going on for a hundred years with the current technology addiction only magnifying the Idiocracy it has created.

A major architect of standardized testing, H.H. Goddard, said in his book Human Efficiency (1920) that government schooling was about "the perfect organization of the hive." He said standardized testing was a way to make lower classes recognize their own inferiority. Like wearing a dunce cap, it would discourage them from breeding and having ambition. Goddard was head of the Psychology Department at Princeton, so imagine the effect he had on the minds of the doctoral candidates he coached, and there were hundreds.

Re: “Nuttin' Yahoo

Bill…..It’s good to see you dip your toe in this putrid swamp, but as usual you’re falling for garden variety misdirection once again…..or……you’re in on the con….or….it’s just reflective of good old widespread ignore-ance (because it’s too disturbing to accept the truth of the matter). Or….you may have noticed that writing about or discussing certain obvious situations can lead to character assassination, labeling as anti this and anti that, being disappeared, experiencing an ‘unfortunate accident’ or openly being murdered.

All of this blubbering about a Zionist big mouth is just diversion/misdirection while the long-standing Zionist agendas relentlessly grind on. Oh my God! I used the verboten word Zionist. Is that a hate crime here yet? It will be.

Has it occurred to you that the reason that the current leader of a rogue nuclear state, which openly operates an apartheid social policy far worse than South Africa ever did, utilizing open air concentration camps such as Gaza, having committed genocide from its inception, would be allowed to address the US Congress? It’s pretty simple Bill….. the US government is infested with and controlled by……Ta Da….Zionists.

Following is a link to an interesting YouTube video titled The Zionist Story:

Re: “Nuttin' Yahoo

If Mr. Cope is writing a commentary on a speech he didn't hear, I s'pose I can comment on his commentary I didn't read.

I DID read the introductory part, where he accuses Dennis Mansfield of being a "floating gadfly who never gives up on his efforts to sell his sour theocracy from behind an 'Aw, shucks' facade."

Gosh! That could theoretically be a way to describe the collected works of Bill Cope!!

Psychologists might call it "projection." Us commoners might call it "hypocrisy."

Keep sellin', Bill! (I'm not buyin', but your fan club obviously loves your bile.)

Re: “Dour Old Men

Yes, Ophida, hypocrisy is the problem. we have a lot of good laws, even in the very strange state of Idaho where all laws are set forth in its constitution, which is over 200 pages long. The problem is, that we have ignorent legislators who keep writing bad laws, corrupt police officers who far too often are violent criminals themselves, and prosecutors, judges, and parole/probation officers who are vindictive punishers instead of wise interpretors of the law. What good are good laws without good enforcers? I look to the law for guidance, just as you do, but see staring me in the face a frightening police state that seldom is a "facilitator of human dignity."

Re: “Do We Need Police Oversight? Ask Spokane

When we speak of HUMAN DIGNITY we think of LAW that is a HELP and a GUIDE, teaching by EXAMPLE and counseling in WORD the ART of SELF-GOVERNMENT while HONORING the FREEWILL SOVEREIGNTY of each and every INDIVIDUAL BEING. Giving Our Direction and vision.

Re: “Dour Old Men

Hypocrisy drives a wedge between LAW and the PEOPLE. We look to LAW for HELP and GUIDANCE. We look to LAW as a TEACHER and COUNSELOR. We the PEOPLE look to LAW as a PARENT-FIGURE to nurture and support our evolution to a SELF-GOVERNING INDIVIDUAL FREEWILL SOVEREIGN PEOPLE. We the PEOPLE look to LAW in support of and a facilitator for HUMAN DIGNITY. <3

I read books on physics fairly frequently.i have to read the dumbed down versions because i am hopelessly inept at mathematics.nonetheless,i read them carefully and repeatedly and try to grasp the concepts.in my quieter moments,i contemplate things like what might lie beyond the bubble of our universe.this is as close as i will ever get to religion because i am not gullible enough for the guy in the sky creeds that are peddled to the masses.i enjoy contemplating the abyss.

Those who fear vaccination are either too young or too dumb to remember all of those who died horrible deaths from horrible diseases before a vaccine was found.

Re: “Dour Old Men

Mr. Rember,
What a wonderful column you have written. Franz Kafka wrote this:

“I think we ought to read only the kind of books that wound or stab us. If the book we're reading doesn't wake us up with a blow to the head, what are we reading for? So that it will make us happy . . . ? Good Lord, we would be happy precisely if we had no books, and the kind of books that make us happy are the kind we could write ourselves if we had to. But we need books that affect us like a disaster, that grieve us deeply, like the death of someone we loved more than ourselves, like being banished into forests far from everyone, like a suicide. A book must be the axe for the frozen sea within us. That is my belief.”

Let us all look into the abyss and read the books that stab us. This will help us find our humanity. As Kafka also wrote, "Not everyone can know the truth, but he can be it."

Re: “Dour Old Men

John, Another pithy screed. This one contains a bit too much emphasis on the oldest con game in the world....religion. Anyone who started a religion based on a supposed 'divine spark' was already lost...or....was smart enough to realize that they can gain power over others if they can con them into becoming believers of their concocted 'truth'.

As far a Nietzsche's insanity goes, the real insanity is represented by those that can witness an event such as he did and act as if there's nothing of any consequence for them to react to. And this happens millions of time a day, which might explain at least one reason why the number of insane is increasing. In a world full of insane people is the sane individual labeled as insane?

It could be that the inevitable downfall of this particular species occurred when the brain evolved the ability to be self conscious. The result has led to a universal obsession with 'Me, My, Mine' and the rest is an inevitable history of greed and control, stained with blood.

Re: “Ask Bill About It

Bill, The irony here is that most of the time your column fits into the 90 percent you mention above, so to be safe Anonymous would, by your own suggestion, be wise to avoid your comments completely.

However, for those of us who sift through the internet chaff as well as the prodigious amount of 'Pro" chaff to get the facts, the 10 percent of substantiated* crap in your column is sometimes worth the read.

The small percentage of substantiated crap in your columns does make one wonder, though, whether it might just end up substantiated completely by accident.

Then again you might just be playing a similar game to the one being played by the handlers of your beloved Fox news folks, and just be stirring the pot with random bull****.

*Tip: You might want to keep in mind that in this day and age of omnipresent lies, about the only things that can be substantiated are sports scores.
