Re: “Ted Challenger on His Past, the China Blue Stabbing and Tighter Security

Obviously feared getting sued or sanctioned during the ktvb clip. But then again the editor probably removed parts. Something very wrong will people who'd want to spend $10 on something can be had nearby for $1.

I tried but could not find the point. Retelling of recent events found elsewhere and read about weeks ago is all I could find.

Re: “Along Came Poly

Walter, that's all fine and dandy until you start harassing people a fraction your age, several states away for that matter, who made it clearly clear they want nothing to do with you to the point that other professional conferences and venues ban you. When the point of unwanted communications tell a young woman that, quote, 'Someday I will get you drunk so you can lose your uptightness' (just one of the many examples) is reached, any reasonable person can infer that several lines have been crossed. Add to that hiring prostitutes off TNABoard to continue the harassment/pathetic campaign and if anyone can defend in the slightest that ilk of behavior from a retired man in his 60s towards a 20-something young professional, that is more than enough commentary on the state of the mental health of said community.

Re: “White House Threatens to Take Congress to the Mat on Border Wall

Paul Ryan is a very gay RINO who has a very personal agenda similar to the never Trumpets. Expect Ryan will continue to place his personal agenda ahead of the party. He will resist trump at every turn until his ass is sent packing (pun intended).

Trump is a nut, but he's a nut with ISO standard threads. His agenda is not hidden. It was in your face and he got elected. (OMG what were they thinking to run Hillary LOL)

I was hoping to see Trump kill a few more of this World's criminal dictators by now -- disappointed so far.

Re: “Chobani Sues Right-Wing Extremist Alex Jones for Defamation

1) Will be an excellent test of the first amendment and media rights. Little faith in the courts though, and Jones does go too far with his rants.
2) Look forward to all this uncovers about the billionaire Turkish refugee activist and the refugee industry.
3) Islam is not compatible with the US constitution. Seen it up close. We are being invaded and deceived by rich powerful people who hate America and traditional Americans.
4) Trump is a temporary factor. Ryan and the like will move us further left. Look to Europe to see our future. It's going to get very sporty here in about 15-20 years.
5) Why won't the media show us how much a refugee costs?
6) Why won't oil-rich islamic countries take in ANY islamic refugees?
7) Microsoft spellcheck capitalizes islam and muslim but not catholic?

Re: “What Constitutes a 'Clean, Sober and Safe' House in Idaho?

Continuation and response to the brilliant Copious Disrespect

Your comment about smoking $200 dollars in cigarettes a week. Wow that a lot of cigarettes. That's like $800 /month $9600 / Annually. You seem like a brilliant man so I won't question where you got your data. I am sure it was from a non biased sample group and an accredited academic institution. With a peer review evaluation on your statistics of $200 week. If the normal distribution was $200 week on cigarettes can you enlighten me with the standard deviation.

You dump them in good neighborhoods for the residents to babysit. Huh the whole time I was at the house I never had a resident babysit me. Can you explain how this works do the residents volunteer are they paid hourly. When I was growing up I always had a huge crush on my babysitter. If the community offers this service can I request a cute lady in her 30s. Huh this whole time I never new the community offered this amazing service.

You seem so well informed and so educated how can I help you on this courageous campaign you so desire.. Please bring more issues to my attention

Re: “What Constitutes a 'Clean, Sober and Safe' House in Idaho?

This message is for copious disrespect.
Read his comment above before reading this.

The SHIP housing program I stayed at was a great experience.

Your excessive noise and late night activity comment. At our house a strict 9 pm cerfew is enforced.

Your comment about delapitated cars. Most of them are so down and out they don't own cars. They rely heavily on the bus system.

Your comment about drinking and drugging all the time. At our SHIP house we took sobriety very seriously. We held each other to great standards.

Re: “What Constitutes a 'Clean, Sober and Safe' House in Idaho?

I think this article hit some great points. Not everyone is homeless for the same reason. These environments face so many different situations. Some are transitioning from the criminal system. Some face mental illness. Some are very young and have no support system. Some are very old and have no support system. Whatever the case individuals automatically jump to the conclusion you're a criminal. When your in the system your treated like a criminal. I understand when you are duly convicted of a crime you lose many of your civil liberties.

If I could point at that many of these people are not criminals. I really admire what Brandt is doing. He is serving a niche in a community that needs hope. So many times addiction and recovery play of the vulnerabilities of families. Most of the time these houses offer management with little to no training in recovery. To be a certified drug and alcohol counselor in the state of Idaho does not even require a high school diploma.

Re: “What Constitutes a 'Clean, Sober and Safe' House in Idaho?

I can speak from experience. I was recently transferred from a behavioral health center involving problems with suicide. I have never had any legal problems what so ever. Every step of the way I was treated like a criminal. Part of BPA or the business psychological association "what I found interesting is they are a for profit model"

I was stuffed in these group therapy classes at Ascent and they made a huge deal if I missed any group therapy or Urine Analysis. I realized these were high profit margins for them. I tried to advocate how important individual Therapy was for me. They kept canceling my individual Therapy appointments 44% of my individual Therapy was cancelled. Me trying to advocate for myself ended up with them threatening my housing. They were very successful. I lost my housing and living in my car.

Re: “What Constitutes a 'Clean, Sober and Safe' House in Idaho?

When we declared a "War on Drugs", we quickly became the most incarcerated nation in the world. Who are these people? 67% of them have the diagnosis of Substance Use Disorder. In case you missed it, the Surgeon General recently released a report on how this disease is affecting our country and our communities:

https://addiction.surgeongeneral.gov/

The percentage of individuals in recovery who might need a "safe, clean and sober home" who have not had any criminal justice system involvement is quite small.... (Quite frankly, I find it odd that the operator of this house, who has had criminal justice system involvement himself, has taken such a stance.)

Here's a thought: What if we provided treatment and support? What if we didn't marginalize or discriminate against a person who has faced the demons of addiction and wants to heal and be a productive member of our community?

What if we quit thinking of these individuals as "them" and started realizing that they are US!???

Re: “Along Came Poly

While some may scoff at Polyamory, I think people should step back a second and learn more. It is not about wanton sex although there is nothing wrong with that between consenting adults. Poly is about consent and honesty which is much better than the moralizers that act chaste in the light of day but engage in undercover affairs without the knowledge of their spouse.

Re: “Former Intelligence Official: Trump Conflict With Spy Agencies Creates ‘Dangerous Moment’

Yes, It is very dangerous when the spy agencies realize the new guy will take control of them. Several agencies simply need to be forever shuttered and the rest put in the corner where they can be watched. Where is Frank Church when we need him.

Re: “UPDATE: Valley County /Meadow Valley Falls Short in 'America's Best Communities' Awards

They don't have enough subsidized housing for such an award. Now maybe if they get a bunch of free housing and a free needle exchange vending machine they will be in the running.

Re: “Russia's Shadow-War in a Wary Europe

The French economy is about the same size as Texas -- so who cares! Oh, you're worried because it's one of 5 countries in the EU that pay their own bills? Still, who cares.

Re: “Russia's Shadow-War in a Wary Europe

The Russian rigged the election thing fell flat here, but over there Russia has no need to spy in France. The French will sell anything to anyone. For example: During the Falkland Islands War. French aviation technicians in Argentina repaired aircraft and Exocet missiles used to kill British and sink British ships.

If the alt-right wins in France it will be because the traditional French people have grown tired of the violence and hatred from the invaders.

Re: “Along Came Poly

By all means let us know everything there is to know about 'ethics' when some of your members don't hire prostitutes and have them send death threats and such to young women they obsess over and/or ex-partners. If that's what you want call 'poly' these days...

Re: “Trump Issues Disaster Declarations for 11 Southern Idaho Counties Ravaged By Winter Storms

and were just going to over look the fact that the Chemtrails have nothing to do with the nations heavy winter? Our own Idaho Power Company stated they seed the sky thru their company. The UN stated that Chemtrails are real and what chemicals are being sprayed on us. The DOD published books on controlling the weather, since the 40's, and who hasn't looked to see a TIC TAC TOE in the sky? Butch Otter is Simplot/Monsanto, who makes the Chem-Trails just like Agent Orange that is now sprayed on tobacco and other produce we eat.
My concern is the damage to homes and people that the insurance that they have will not cover their costs. In my opinion, so many will loose.
