More rich Mormon elite schools please, to white-wash the music! Shooby do whop Jazz!
I started your journey 3 days ago in your words, not your steps. I'm 56yrs. old, depressed, struggling each day just to get out of bed. Reading about your walk is waking my soul a day at a time. I go for infusion treatments once a month for Rheumatoid Arthritis. I am also a lesbian Christian & my supposed church of the past 8 years have compared me to murderers! I'm LOST.
Poorly reported BW. Found out too late that the trade show and lecture series took place at Boise Centre on the Grove on Friday, April 25. At the very least maybe could've considered the heading "April 25-26"?
This is the first announcement I've seen. Thanks, BW, for bringing it to my attention. I used to hold kitemaking workshops and an annual Idaho Kite Festival in Pocatello, but haven't gotten back into it much since moving to the Treasure Valley. It will be fun to meet some kiters.
Do it legal. 5 years im doing 5 years zelus all day
Loved to read your blog. I would like to suggest you that traffic show most people read blogs on Mondays. So it should encourage blogger to write new write ups over the weekend primarily
Well, the first time I had a major panic attack the doctor put me on xanax but it messed with my head really badly and I had memory issues. My discharge papers noted that while medicated by it I had little to no acknowledgement of externally inflicted bodily harm/pain. What I do remember is waking up the next day with a swollen ankle and multiple bruises that hurry like hell from walking into things or just letting the car door close on me.
Later, someone recommended me this treatment, and I’m very grateful with it, i can go anywhere i want without problem, no anxiety, no panic attacks, i'm a new person. Read this article, it helped me a lot : panicsolutionkey.com
So-o-o much better written than your review of Ballet Idaho and no personal disses or non-sequitur comments. Kudos!
Mr Nori, old fashioned radio dj- now syndicated host- has taken Art Bell's successful overnight franchise well beyond the Bell's original mission into one mean and sometimes mean spirited exploitive production company. A company that hosts almost anyone, the more outlandish the better many of them paying the company for its big franchised soapbox. Sadly, more and more the guests are political extremists with huge not so hidden agendas. Many of course are from the highly successful broadcast/media school for Fox/Murdock network crackpots. The shows interesting paranormal fodder has slowly turned to a monetized rancorous, right-wing, conspiracy rhetic. I would have liked to have seen Mr Warren and Mr Stanton Saturday and heard their measured and constrained talk on various phenomena however it meant that I would have listened to Nori and his other guest so I didn't go. I do hope Mr Nori quits wasting his talents on channeling PT Barnum before he completely losses his moral bearings, so evident when he himself engages and encourages guests and to go farther and farther to the right. Yea there is a sucker born every minute and that is what I feel like when I have to wade through the din of extremists to hear one or two good guests.
There are narrow "Kimberlite tubes" found in Idaho /Oregon where continental accretion of Island Arcs occurred.
To John Kernkamp
I AM a native Idahoan. My family came out here in covered wagons from Joplin MO. My family has lived here since before Idaho was a state. I have been taught the difference between right and wrong and discrimination of any kind is WRONG! It is you, sir, who are forcing your views of hatred and discrimination on the majority of us who would still like to hope that once more Idaho can be too great for hate.
Is John KernKamp a liberal progressive? What a forward thinking argument. Dear John, let me spell it out for you, if you can spell. You are a d-u-m-b-a-s-s. Oops sorry, I meant you are right. I appreciate your progressive opinion. And god bless Joseph Hennequin and the us of a, and people who somehow made it through the ice age to walk erect. I'm sick of people not listenin good. I'm packin Joe and John. I'm packin.
Equality for All is what this country was founded upon, anyone that
Does not support equal rights cannot call themselves a patriot. Seperation of church and state dictates that our laws not be biased to one set of religious beliefs. Hate and bigotry are the only reason not to support adding the words. Jesus himself rebeled against the church and government of his day because they were currupt, Jesus stood by with the freaks and outcasts of society. So all you religious nuts need to stop and think wwjd? Those peaceful protesters are more like your own god than you could ever imagine. He summed up his teachings with the golden rule: treat each other as thyself.
What this boils down to is that sometimes there are people that need help, need protection. There are those kinds of people that put themselves out there to help their neighbors, ensure children are protected, even put themselves in harms way without questioning if that person fits their criteria of what they agree with. If someone falls into a river, you don't stop and ask "Do they have the same faith as me? Is their skin the right color? Do they love someone of the same gender?" You help them out of the river. Unless you are awful. And then there are those kinds of people that pick on those that need their help, that judge others and live in a world of self-blinding opinion. Sometimes there are lessons we are afforded, challenges that we are faced with. These tests about who we are, as people, are not easy, or they wouldn't be real challenges. When you are faced with a decision about how to treat another human being, and you choose anything but love, REGARDLESS of how you believe or feel about them, you fail. I will always help my neighbors, even if I don't agree with them. I will always protect someone that needs it. Ask yourself which kind of person you really are. And if you think this is just some philosophical discussion, you need to pay more attention. Gay kids are committing suicide at 4 times the rate of other kids, as one example. This is not right, and if you believe "good riddance", then I suppose you are already lost.
This whole business of claiming this will impose a gay agenda on others is laughable. On one side of the issue, you have people dying or being physically harmed, kicked out of their homes or denied work/fired. On the other side, you have your feelings hurt or you feel it's icky or against your faith. Really? Aren't you even a little embarrassed at how judgmental that sounds?
Um, Joseph, you kinda do push being straight on gay people. "Marriage is between one man and one woman!" That's pretty much a straight mentality. And I'm a little unclear how preventing young people from committing suicide because they are told they are wrong and horrible is "pushing preferences on you". I had no idea that you would be forced to have an Abercombie model move in with you and make you gay breakfast, or be kidnapped and have your hair done. This argument is something fit for SNL, not real life. The protections being requested have nothing to do with you. Stop trying to push your straight preferences, by denying equal protections, on the gay community. Maybe there should be separate drinking fountains? Maybe gay people should sit at the back of the bus? You are on the wrong side of history, just like the article points out, so maybe you should put on your big girl panties and stop being a bigot.
Government, rather it be state or federal, does not define marriage. God already did that. All the arguing in the world won't change that. Said and Done.
Thanks Curtis for supplementing the taxpayers of Boise by offering your incredible talent to such an amazing philanthropic cause even though my property taxes will go up and my favorite new common core will bring about the end of electives in schools. And thanks Tom Luna, Butch Otter and the first lady, JR Simplepot, James Risch, Michael Crappo, Arnie Duncan, Bill Gates and all our good pals for ensuring educational success for all Idahoans and Americans. But most of all, thanks to the BSU Broncos and Coach Pete and the new Coach Pete. Go Broncos -- god bless the USA and the American way.
The Age of Enlightenment (17th - 18th C) has yet to reach the majority of Idaho legislators and the ever-decreasing percentage of the population who are local and elect them - no "Add the Words," no medicade expansion to cover the working poor, no increase in the minimum wage, no needed funding for public education, no realization that the Feds pay Idaho more than they collect in taxes. Instead we get pandering to the wingnuts on the right.
Looks as if we wait 20 years until the migration from the West Coast swamps the the boat and brings positive change.
Desecrating the Flag like that is, to me, Treason. I don't push my being straight on you. so stop pushing your preferences on me. Go somewhere else.
You were not raised here so you don't see the total picture. The largest denomination in southern Idaho is the LDS church and the second one is the Catholic church. Neither of them approve of homosexuality. What they don't and won't do is separate the people from their practices.
