Go see Th Howlin' Bros. when they come to Boise this month. You will be thoroughly entertained.
Fantastic album. It's been in heavy rotation this week in my house. Might be my favorite since the debut.
This album is everything I wanted from them.
"Ryan Adams sucked that night so that made us look better." Wow, these girls are really from the Northwest...
Anemic? Carl's whole band is anemic! SMILE... http://youtu.be/W2CpQUSdC80
It kinda sounds more like 'Dead by sunrise' (Chester's side project), except without the terribly lame lyrics and techno elements.

about as relevant as your somewhat biased and misinformed opinion??? WRONG!!! The last album was brilliant and a must have for true STP fans. Doesn't imitate Weiland??? Are you kidding? I thought it WAS Weiland. Whatever. You should go back and listen to the last album. High Rise sounds JUST LIKE STP's previous album. Fail!!!
Java City forever!
I always saw someone else screaming in Linkin.
That's cool - wish I could get along with all the Repugnicans I have encountered here in Laguna Hiils California....
Actually, the show is this Saturday the 16th!
listen to the album in its entirety here: www.matthopper.com
I saw them at Mootsy's in Spokane. Don't miss this show! Actually, only one of the females screams, but she takes the head of the microphone in her mouth, and then lets go. Awesome.
Yeah, Wes Malvini informed me of that after the story ran. Sorry about that.--Ben Schultz
Loving this new Blind Boys video. Definitely worth a listen. http://smarturl.it/BBofAJVernon
For the Record, Grandmas House was a long established and influential house venue ran by Kim B. and Tyler Scott long before Wes Malvini ever arrived in Boise or put his foot on the front porch. Check your facts Weekly!
The disappointment in what owners Mitch and Christine have done to the original "Red Room" is bottomless. They transformed the iconic and much adored shotgun bar on Main Street into an unfathomable parade of insufferable pretentiousness with a resounding lack of foresight, all in an attempt to expand their insatiable quest for a lucrative enterprise in an industry they know next to nothing about. The mark they have left on their patrons, the bands they've hosted, and the employees that they've shown little regard for, is unsavory at best.
So congratulations Mitch, for destroying a place that many fondly called home and would have gladly continued despite the ownership change. Your kamikaze business strategies are not what this city needs or wants. Before you attempt to capture another market and bury it in the ground with you, reflect on this experience and realize that the impact that you have is widespread, and in your case, severely damaging to your clientele and the individuals under your employ. These are lives and experiences, and you are not enriching either.
Did you notice the guy in the cowboy hat is flippin' the bird? Ha!
