Congratulations Enrique. Well deserved.
All of the categories the other comments have mentioned are categories on Urban Chalk, the website which hosted our ballot this year. Urban Chalk is a sort of business directory/community guide which is active all year, and the public can vote for their favorite businesses in a wide range of categories, and those votes can be used as a guide. Only certain categories that were part of the Best of Boise ballot were counted as part of our survey. They are they roughly 90 categories which have been included in our ballot for years and which are marked with the Boise Weekly logo—if you used the sorting tool to limit it to Boise Weekly questions only, you would have only seen our ballot questions. Best of Boise voting is only counted for a very specific time period each year, but the Urban Chalk website, with it's vastly more inclusive categories is open all year. No categories have disappeared, they were just never part of our ballot. Sorry for any confusion.
Thanks to the Boise Weekly for the kind words and thanks to all our customers that supported us while we were open.
...and to think--I thought he was going to be a great composer. He's making more people happy this way, I'm sure.
Not so sure it's the toughest race in the Northwest any more. The Bruneau Beast 20k (shorter than Robie mind you) had strong runners finish 30-40 minutes slower than they have done at Robie. Check it out at www.runbruneaudunes.com.
cool! will post it on nudist dating site naturistmingle , google "naturistmingle" it offers a friendly and confidential environment for nudists to look for friendships, relationships, and resources concerning the nudist lifestyle.
Thanks solely to Abi Thomas! Get at her if you need an event catered unbelievably well!!
I can't remember the last time I purchased an avocado at the downtown farmers market! I think people are misunderstanding the purpose of this category. How is Bittercreek not getting any recognition for being on the forefront of the local movement among restaurants? They single handedly support over 20 different local purveyors. Come on Boise.
How is guacamole considered local fare? Can't remember the last time I purchased a "local" avocado from the farmers market downtown. I think people misunderstood this category.
mysterious disappearing categories.... why'd we even bother voting?
Except that it's not really local at all. haha.
What happened to the Best Pet Store category?
and I recall voting on Baby Supply, Children's Clothing, Specialty Store and Perfumes & Cosmetics?
why do you offer these categories for voting but not publish the results?
What happened to the 'best place to buy baby goods' category?
Thanks Best of Boise!!!!
Michael is a great bartender. And hells yes, Kelly! Props for making the list! Nice photo, too, Laurie.
This store is awesome, glad to see it getting some good visibility! :-)
Justice is done!
