Re: “GOP Superintendent Candidate Ybarra Hasn't Voted Since 1996

Ok Moyle he could care less about the voters. He said the one working best with the legislature bringing in the dollars no matter where it comes from it sure ain't Jana. Yes he said ain't. She didn't vote 15 out of 17 primaries and said I'm sorry. My way to make all better is to run. And she admitted to plagiarism against Jones. Then the woman said as a republican that is what Your vote counts. Thank you

Re: “LIVE: The Execution of Richard Leavitt

Well, Rick, what would you be mouthing off about now - should you lived through your execution?

Would you LOL, that the authorities couldn't kill your evil ass dead? Maybe you don't consider yourself evil but just confused and misunderstood.

I recall my sister and I riding around, with you, in your green Ford pick-up, you screaming corners and daring cops to pick-up your speedy ass. My little sister and I were frightened and never again rode with your dumb ass. I worry that's the way you want people to remember you.

You had to up your ante and kill people dead to get your thrills. I don't understand your insanity but am glad my sister and I were not involved.

You're a freak, man. A no good son of satan. I hope to GOD Jesus, our Lord and Savior, forgives your dumb ass. You don't deserve the forgiveness but none of us do.

May you, Rick, receive the salvation we all need even though we've not earned the blessing.

Rick, GOD Bless - You!

Re: “GOP Superintendent Candidate Ybarra Hasn't Voted Since 1996

EVERY race during this election should be a no-brainer.. For the past years the Idaho GOP has brought this state down so lower the rest of the country has to speak about Idaho when they say Mississippi.. Maybe we don't get it .. Maybe being last in everything is a badge of honor.. Please citizens of Idaho.. please vote these people out and don't replace them with more of the same....

Indeed Richard Reuther. Jailed for a week for asking a question?!?! At a public meeting???

This is how petty tyrants operate.

The Payette County commission must be held accountable.

Re: “Would-Be Idaho Legislator Joins Same-Sex Marriage Opponents at North Idaho Rally

For years, those in favor of same-sex marriage have argued that all Americans should be free to live as they choose. And yet in countless cases, the government has coerced those who simply wish to be free to live in accordance with their belief that marriage is the union of a man and a woman.

Ministers face a 180-day jail term and $1,000 fine for each day they decline to celebrate the same-sex wedding.

Just this weekend, a case has arisen in Idaho, where city officials have told ordained ministers they have to celebrate same-sex weddings or face fines and jail time.

The Idaho case involves Donald and Evelyn Knapp, both ordained ministers, who run Hitching Post Wedding Chapel. Officials from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, told the couple that because the city has a non-discrimination statute that includes sexual orientation and gender identity, and because the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals struck down Idaho’s constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman, the couple would have to officiate at same-sex weddings in their own chapel.

The non-discrimination statute applies to all “public accommodations,” and the city views the chapel as a public accommodation.

On Friday, a same-sex couple asked to be married by the Knapps, and the Knapps politely declined. The Knapps now face a 180-day jail term and $1,000 fine for each day they decline to celebrate the same-sex wedding.

A week of honoring their faith and declining to perform the ceremony could cost the couple three and a half years in jail and $7,000 in fines.

They just want the "same rights everybody else has," right?

Re: “At Last: Madelynn Taylor Secures Same-Sex Burial Rights at Idaho Veterans Cemetery

'We're obligated by law to provide the same services that we would any other veteran' - says Wallior. Really? What about Moral Obligations and Respecting Our Veterans and Simply Doing The Right Thing because it's the Right Thing? In spite of this being a State 'owned' operation, seems to me there was some very disrespectful playing with the 'Intent' of the Law. Congratulations to Ms Taylor, the Citizens of Idaho owed this to her in the first place.

Re: “UPDATE: Idaho Anti-Fracking Activist Released After 7-Day Incarceration

This is clearly an abuse of governmental power. A citizen provides evidence, a commissioner says it's not true, citizen tries to rebut her claim and gets arrested. That's what dictators do, not servants of the people. Good on her for not cooperating with the police; this is basic civil disobedience when government is in the wrong.

Re: “PBS Series: Welcome to Coeur d'Alene, One of the Whitest Places in America

Should the people of Coeur d’Alene feel guilty for being white and if so what should they do about it? The answer is quite simple; if you're a resident of Coeur d’Alene and feeling guilty about being white you should move to a community where you'll feel better about yourself. Try Detroit, South Chicago, Memphis, Cleveland, Newark or Port-Au-Prince Haiti.

Let's hope that "Add the Words" succeeds. It will be perverse if Idahoans can wed but still be fired from their jobs for being LGBT but I predict "Add the Words" will fail none-the-less.
