Re: “UPDATE: Idaho House Committee Approves Sweeping Change to Fuel, Grocery Taxes

Can't say I am a fan of rising gas taxes, having just left California where the Dems have now tagged the people with a new $0.75/gallon "cap and trade" tax on gas, but I'll survive seven cents a gallon especially if the payoff is elimination of sales tax on food, which I think is an awful idea. I agree that taxing food is about the most regressive tactic one can take, and we ought to be better than that.

Re: “Video: Bergdahl Charged With Desertion, Misbehavior Before the Enemy

I wonder how many US soldiers or other innocent civilians have died since the US released "Five Most Dangerous Taliban Commanders" in exchange for MR. Bergdahl?

Perhaps Obama can pardon him, and reunite him with his parents at a lovely photo-op Rose Garden party.

Re: “FEMA : Climate Change-Denying Governors Risk Withheld Funding

Repeat a lie often enough and the sheep believe it.

If they don’t swallow the bait then blackmail ‘em to get ‘em to do what you want and to keep those tax dollars flowing in to purchase more tanks, guns and camps.

Environmental blackmail is the latest and greatest method of worldwide control……because, after all, the government is here to help you and this is for your own good.

The use of Carbon Colonialism with the ‘Our Common Future’ horses**t is also the perfect way to control the developing countries.

What better way to control masses of people than to make them feel guilty for breathing and morally responsible for a problem just by being alive.

The controllers (read banking cabal and their lackeys) recognized two additional uses for this global warming…er…climate change scare: a means of distracting the sheep from their agenda of theft and control and a way to apply austerity measures on the sheep with the willing participation of those sheep.

As for the supposed legitimate science backing up the claims of man-made global warming.....It's bogus.....and many scientists have petitioned the U.S. government agencies and the UN agencies to back off on the scare.

Re: “North Idaho Police Investigating Gold Heist

If I had "information" that would finger the thief, I would cut a deal with her/him. I get 49% of the proceeds from the sale of the untraceable gold nuggets and you disappear to Mexico or Canada with the rest. One thousand smackers for my information? Give me a break.

Re: “UPDATE: Idaho House Committee Approves Sweeping Change to Fuel, Grocery Taxes

The sales tax on food is one of the most regressive taxes in this state, and removing it is far more beneficial, dollar for dollar, to the average citizen than the grocery tax credit. That's how you stimulate the economy -- cut taxes to the poor so they can use less money on necessities and more on durable goods. Hate to say it, but good on republicans.

Re: “Police: Idaho Family Triggered Deadly Melee at Arizona Walmart

oh please, just some good God fearing Boise white trash. I guess "spreading their faith" (Idaho Statesman article: http://www.idahostatesman.com/2015/03/24/3716471_details-begin-to-emerge-about.html?rh=1) means beating it into people. When did panhandling become a career path? Good christian values there.

Re: “Red Weakly

If your new here . . .this is the tiny mind of someone trapped in the miniscule space between msnbc and FOX. The misspelled words and barely discernable sentences are supposed to represent a ficticious character from the "other side". In this world (and how pathetic it is) the winning argument to everything are the words "IS TOO!" preceeded by (from the other side) "IS NOT"! We call this political "science". In small print somewhere are the laughable words "alternative newspaper".

Re: “Idaho Senate Passes Two Cannabis Bills to Assist Those Suffering From Epileptic Seizures

I have epilepsy and my doctor was featured on the news regarding this, Robert Wechsler. He said it is not a be all end all, but of course parents are going to think so. And their opinion that it has no side effects compared to the FDA approved therapies is ludicrous!

Re: “Idaho Power Reels in Quite a Catch

My grandmother told me of her father catching a 30 foot Sturgeon in Snake River near Twin Falls about 1905 when she was 10. They had to use the team of horses to haul the fish out of the water and onto a flatbed wagon. They fed a lot of people with that one catch.

Well, the left wing democrats did primary joe lieberman out.he's a total ass hat,but i did'nt care for the tactic.for those who think there is no difference made by election outcomes, consider how many wars president mcain would be presiding over.no,wait,i'm sure vice president palin would have pulled some sly diplomacy to avoid those.

Re: “A New Approach to Stop Drunk Driving

Notice the article doesn't include quotes from law enforcement? Ironically, I doubt law enforcement would support this. The vast majority (over 80%) of DUIs don't involve an accident or irratic driving, but routine traffic stops, and they are a huge revenue generator for local police and city governments. It has nothing to do with public safety.
Preventing people from driving after drinking would "kill the golden goose" for law enforcement agencies.

Re: “Idaho Senate Passes Two Cannabis Bills to Assist Those Suffering From Epileptic Seizures

How come we can have and smoke pot in Washington State, Colorado and Washington D.C. and the D.C. is short for District of Corruption and soon to be in Oregon but you can go to jail if you are caught with it anywhere else in this country. That is about as stupid as it gets and the people in charge can't whittle down the national debt. Just who's idea was it to make marijuana illegal in the first place. Who are these so called lawmakers to tell us if we can smoke marijuana or not. These so called lawmakers work for us. The American people who most of us say legalize marijuana now!
