I think we need to boycott Chandlers on Tuesdays till they figure it out. I'll miss my Ten Minute Martini! Oh Well!
Great exposure to both local artists and artists from all over the US. The artists talks are always fascinating and the house creates a wonderful, intimate venue.
Skip the first act!
I used to follow Tambalka pretty regularly. It used to be interesting and unusual music. Once they lost their drummer, it was all downhill from there. They never have the same people. Just barely holding it together. Pity!
Thanks for share your thought.
Went last year, it was WONDERFUL. I'm not a Hindu, and I encourage everyone with a passion for cultural awesomeness to attend, regardless of your beliefs. This is a beautiful holiday, and the celebration is really amazing.
Anyone who knows flamenco, knows what a joke it is to call this person a flamenco player. He's a pretender!!
A hairy troll for sure
If you're a lady, you need to avoid this guy. He thinks musical ability gives him an open door for harassing women. I know from personal experience. Steer Clear!
Give me jazz, Sinatra, and a martini ... not this!
Agreed! He doesn't live up to the same high standards set by the other Chandlers musicians.
Only in Boise would they call this flamenco. He plays like a classical guitarist. The passion of good flamenco is lacking.
I first heard Esteban in a Tambalka show. I went to Chandlers with 3 of my friends to hear him as a solo act. In the band he's fine, but as a solo act, he is very repetitious. After 3 songs it all sounded the same. I'll go to Chandlers when someone else is playing. I'd almost prefer canned music.
Esteban Anastasio is a decent guitarist with a head that can barely fit through a set of double-doors. I hope the Riverside can improve in their choice of entertainment.
Please help save the Boise Hive. It's programming benefits not only local musicians but also veterans and the homeless.
Sounds wonderful! What a great way to celebrate God's bounty!
