I think we need to boycott Chandlers on Tuesdays till they figure it out. I'll miss my Ten Minute Martini! Oh Well!
Esteban Anastasio is a decent guitarist with a head that can barely fit through a set of double-doors. I hope the Riverside can improve in their choice of entertainment.
That was a very disappointing show. I'm a bit disappointed in the Morrison Center. Calling this the "Broadway in Boise" series implies that the shows HAVE BEEN on Broadway. "Flashdance" has not been successful enough to GET to Broadway, so tonight after seeing a show that wasn't very good and which we were glad to see end, I feel that we were WAY overcharged for a very troubled show. For a story about dancing, most of the musical was characters standing still singing at each other, a bit like cardboard cutouts, but I think cutouts would have swayed a bit. The few 80s songs were fun, but the new additions were too numerous and unforgettable. If the rest of the season isn't a vast improvement, we won't be renewing our season tickets.
Great diversity and cultural music event, slightly tarnished by a 2 hour late start time.
Great idea, but they obviously hadn't checked the equipment beforehand, so they spent 20 minutes trying (unsuccessfully) to get music going, then when they dropped that and started the talk, it was hard to hear over the people talking--WHICH INCLUDED THE HILLCREST LIBRARIANS.
I have an idea!! How about offering a basic bicycle riding class before you ever consider racing? I am sick and tired of bikers disobeying the law and as they pass just shrugging their shoulders like they just can't help it. Bikers get injured because they do stupid things thinking they are in a car or are a pedestrian. Doesn't work when you put your 150 lb. body against my 2 ton Ford PU. Wanna be safe? Then ride with your health in mind......not who's right or wrong at the stop sign.
Ben Burdick and Bill Liles, who only play on Sunday during brunch hours, are the only bright spot in this tired wine bar. The menus is tired, the decor is tired, and the owner is tired.
