Re: “Project PATCH Youth Ranch

Patch is also where I found God. While many people who work at Patch are SDA, the program is run strictly from a just Christian perspective. The people here are REAL, and religion was never forced. I grew closer to God because of the friends who portrayed Him in a very loving way and really lived a lifestyle that proved it. I can't say enough good things about it.

Re: “Scott Law

Multifaceted artist Scott Law is an accomplished guitar master, singer-songwriter and recording artist operating at the very highest level of his craft. Hailed as an “esteemed flatpicker” by Acoustic Guitar, Law is equally reverent and inventive on steel strings whether in a lead or supporting role.

Law’s versatility on the guitar ranges from the flatpicking school of Doc Watson, to the hardcore country pickings of Clarence White, Albert Lee and Don Rich, to the electric blues of Mike Bloomfield, while also giving a feel and fluidity reminiscent of Jerry Garcia.

A not-so-secret weapon sought after for his distinctive ability to elevate the potency of any collaboration, Law is a fearless improviser. His original songs and story-like solos come straight from the heart of rock, r&b, country and bluegrass, granting him the creative latitude to constantly push the envelope and deliver an unforgettable experience.

Law has performed with an array of bluegrass, American roots, rock and jam band luminaries including Phil Lesh & Friends, longtime musical accomplices The String Cheese Incident, Darol Anger, Tim & Nicki Bluhm, Tony Furtado, The Mother Hips, Crooked Still, Peter Rowan, The Travelin' McCourys, Leftover Salmon, Danny Barnes, Railroad Earth, Jerry Joseph, Melvin Seals and more.

Re: “Glass Blowing Classes

NICE GLASS!! Very creative and uses color with imagination!
Lisa is very passionate about her glass work and her designs show it. She's willing to explore anything your imagination can come up with for a new design if you wish something made to order.
Personally I love her cherry blossoms. But she has some very unique ideas.

Re: “OTO Meet-and-Greet

Very Informative. Had a lot of fun meeting everyone. I was surprised by genuinely passionate these people are about their stuff, and how knowledgeable they were. I'll be around for sure more often. Snacks however were subpar.....

Re: “Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore-Overland

terrible biased review, Kitley.

You bash a little donated good store for not holding some goodie when you didn't even think ( or insist) on putting some money down ? Beyond the fact that a small loosely run shop like that should not be asked to hold on your word, but how do you know that some one didn't just come along and tear your tag off ?

Shame on you lady.

PS , it might be a little hard to FIRE the VOLUNTEERS that work there. You on the other hand should go down & volunteer a bit to see what its like.

Personally I think the place is pretty good, and I stop in often because of course THE GOOD STUFF GOES FAST

Re: “The Creperie Cafe

You simply cannot make or buy a better crepe' than at this restaurant. The wonderful smell of the Meditaranian (spelling) is out of this world. Every flavor that you can imagine plus photography on the wall that you can buy. The owner is the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet. I bought a framed picture of a dandilion so that I could have a wish for the rest of my life. Also, their Italian sodas are HUGE and tons of whipped cream. Everyone should eat here at least once....or twice....or 100 times! Such a variety that you could go 30 times and never have the same thing twice. Breakfast, lunch and dinner crepes and the consistency of the crepe' itself is unbelievable.. So big that I couldn't even finish mine, but it made for great leftovers later that day!
