TOXIC TRAIN WAR - THE CHLORINE INSTITUTE (a trade association of chlorine producers) claims that its “C” Kit, a repair kit for chlorine rail tank cars, is safe to use. Haz-mat experts say The Chlorine Institute “C”-Kit is extremely hazardous and its use must be discontinued. Learn the truth, See--PETITION C KIT for First Responders Comments.
The Real Reasons Death Penalties/Executions Fell
Nationally, from 1993 to 2012, murders dropped by 41%. Capital murders, the only ones eligible for the death penalty, likely, dropped in the 60-70% range, as capital murders are, most often, those combined with rape, robbery, or other crimes, which have dropped substantially, as well, explaining most of the drop.
Other reasons are:
2) 5 states, with Democratic Governors and Democratic majority legislators, abolished the death penalty and
3) a number of Supreme Court cases have restricted or delayed, even more, the application of the death penalty,
with both since 1994 and both in conflict with the majority will of the people. (A state appellate court vacated New York's death penalty statute).
Two of those states, Illinois and New Jersey, got the vote in during a lame duck session.
4) DA's are aware that some judges are, simply, obstructionists to the law, and those DA's may be reluctant to seek it, as in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, etc. In California, reform efforts are underway. (Ct & NJ repealed the death penalty).
Those four, likely, account for 90% of the drop in death sentences.
5) The decline in executions is, solely, the product of the case managers - the judges and has nothing to do with popular death penalty support (1).
THE ANTI DEATH PENALTY NONSENSE
Richard Dieter states: "I think the decline begins with the revelations about mistakes in capital cases — that innocent people could get the penalty and almost be executed has shocked the public to the point where death sentences are harder to obtain,".
This is typical anti death penalty drivel, with no evidence to support it.
A Nov. 2010 Angus Reid poll showed that a large majority, 81%, believes that innocents have been executed and, with that same group, responding to the "general" death penalty question, found 83% death penalty support and 13% opposition (2).
That shows no evidence that the US population has turned away from executions based upon the, largely, misleading innocence claims by anti death penalty folks (3).
Possibly 25-40 actual innocents have been sentenced to death and released since 1976. Not 143 (3). That is a 99.6% accuracy rate in convictions, with the 0.4% innocent being released - a very admirable record, which would fuel confidence.
There is no proof of an innocent executed in the US. at least since the 1930s.
The facts tell us that the death penalty is a greater protector of innocents, than is LWOP (3), a reality which would result in even more support for the death penalty.
1) Judges Responsible for Grossly Uneven Executions
2) US Death Penalty Support at 80% (now 86%): World Support Remains High
95% of Murder Victim's Family Members Support Death Penalty

THE DEATH PENALTY: SAVING MORE INNOCENT LIVES
'Garden City officials balked at the idea, saying the machines were too much like one-armed bandits, creating a casino-like setting.'
One wonders what sort of image the council members had in their minds or were they just seeing numbers with dollar signs.
On the face of it, forcing horses to run around in a circle, while two armed bandits drool expectantly in the stands, hoping to make a buck off their effort, is already questionable enough.
Hopefully Treasure Valley Racing closes the live racing as a result of the shift of the desperate gamblers to machine gambling.
Maybe they could add a few more alternative gambling options such as those at the link below (copy and paste):

My thanks to all those who have commented on this story about my journey. There is not a way that I have found to connect with those of you who have commented other than welcoming you to contact me at 350-9120. The post by 'watcher' is full of useful info that I have found as a holistic physician can be explored. I have had a lot of experience with some of these approaches. The interest 'Roll Tide' (must be from Alabama) has in foraging communication here in Boise, I welcome. Please connect. Pat Casey
Wow, I do believe that when the polar ice caps are melting things will head towards disaster.
To add something to watchers list. The american medical association has a board of old doctors. And what that board does, and its only purpose, is to set the price of each procedure and item.in a blue book. Like any other tradesman. Mechanics, electricians, ect. When they make estimates/pricing, they have a bible of pricing to work from. The electricians/mechanics/ anyone that is in a competitive industry evolves. Each year or sooner, their prices change, many times with market demands. The AMA is the only dealer/price setter and has never faced any competition. Until they start updating lower prices for procedures in that blue book, you won't see any change in our core medical costs
I have PSC (dx in 2007) and received my new liver on Jan 10, 2013. I am 47. I experienced a miracle. There are very few of us here in BOI so I am psyched this little thread is going. It would be great to get a group together for meetings and/or support on a regular basis. I would be happy to organize.
I don't know how this thing works, but it looks like one can just respond and we can figure out from there how we might want to communicate.
It really is amazing that there aren't more of these incidents, given that these children are confined to what, in effect, is minimum security incarceration for 5 days a week and 'home release' at night and on weekends and holidays.
Heh, this would also describe the situation of the typical job holder, except the job holder has more freedom to break free of their self-incarceration than the student.
This sounds like there was/is low security on credit/debit card data at Target.
They should only store this data if it is strongly encrypted.
That way the government surveillance hacking organizations could still de-encrypt it, with non-governmental hackers having less success.
You've probably already been down this road, but just wanted to share a few things anyway.
Autoimmune disorders are currently the number three killer in the U.S. after heart disease and cancer.
The most common cause of autoimmune diseases is food sensitivities (particularly gluten sensitivity), environmental triggers, viruses, excess estrogen exposure, and heavy metal toxicity. Even when gluten is not the primary cause of the autoimmune illness, it almost always exacerbates the condition.
It can take at least a year of dedicated effort to heal the existing damage, but some benefits are usually seen much sooner.
Daily addition of omega-3, GLA, vitamin D3, glutathione, and turmeric can help to battle inflammation, while marshmallow root extract, slippery elm bark extract, deglycyrrhizinated licorice extract, and aloe leaf extract can be helpful along with L-glutamine and MSM to support the healing of existing damage. There are more than nine thousand studies showing grass-fed bovine colostrum's potential key role in restoring gastrointestinal integrity.
Other food sensitivities must also be addressed.
The good news is that once the gluten is finally eliminated, other food sensitivities often diminish over time.
In an article in Nature Reviews Gastroenterology and Hepatology, the authors wrote, "This new paradigm subverts traditional theories underlying the development of autoimmunity, which are based on molecular mimicry and/or the bystander effect...and suggests that the autoimmune process can be arrested if the interplay between genes and environmental triggers is prevented by re-establishing intestinal barrier function" (Fasano and Shea-Donohue 2005). The potential for healing is extraordinary once gluten is eliminated and the gut is repaired.
Also, a potent cross-reactivity to casein has additionally been demonstrated to be similar to an autoimmunologic reactivity to gluten. Casein is one of the most common cosensitive agents with gluten, but the immune system can come to react to almost anything if gluten consumption persists.
Once multiple food sensitivities take over, they can cause a very vicious cycle that only worsens with time and becomes extremely difficult to correct. Identifying cross-reactive substances (using Cyrex Labs Array 4 panel; www.cyrexlabs.com) may be necessary to identify other guilty culprits that are stalling or thwarting your healing process.
Among the most common true potentially cross-reactive compounds are:
casein, oats, rye, barley, spelt, kamut, yeast, coffee, and milk chocolate.
Additional compounds tested for by Cyrex Labs (frequently substituted for gluten) that may cause problems and food sensitivity issues of their own include:
corn, sesame, buckwheat, quinoa, sorghum, millet, tapioca, amaranth, rice, and potato.
You're probably already aware of this, but as stated in the British Medical Journal, "The iceberg is a common model used to explain the epidemiology of celiac disease. The majority of patients have what is termed silent celiac disease, which may remain undiagnosed because the condition has no (gastrointestinal) symptoms" (Feighery 1999). In the journal Gastroenterology, an article stated, " For every symptomatic patient with celiac disease there are 8 patients with celiac disease and no gastrointestinal symptoms" (Frasno and Catassi 2001). In the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, an article stated, "Our finding ...implies that immune response triggered by sensitivity to gluten may find expression in organs other than the gut". The disorder is a multi-system disorder. A review paper in the New England Journal of Medicine found that fifty-five diseases are known to be caused by gluten (Farrell and Kelly 2002), including nearly all autoimmune diseases.
Keep in mind that positive testing for gluten sensitivity are almost always dependable. Negative results are not. False-negative results are quite common. A comparatively accurate assessment can be made by using an easily ordered proprietary stool antibody test from Enterolab (www.enterolab.com). Cyrex labs also has affordable salivary panels for all fractions of gliadin, with an unprecedented accuracy rate.
Cyrex Labs also makes available a testing array that can pinpoint the very areas in your body being most affected by gluten sensitivity.

With so many people using their logic to prove why minimum wage won't work...how about a simple.... why has our standard of living been increasing from 1938 until the recent times when it was ignored and the monies that would go to the workers to help increase their available spending money has gone to the uber wealthy...who spend little or nothing on productive purchases....enough said.
We have been there I believe four times. I usually have the Mediterraneo. I've never had a problem with them. The food that my wife and I get is the best Italian food we had in a long long time. We lived in Norco Ca., where they used to have a restaurant as good as this.....and they are as rare as hens teeth to find. Beautiful scenery looking out to the river and very pleasant surroundings.
This wasn't a meeting wih sealers ... this was Pam grandstanding to get publicity
I don't understand how making people drive further for these loans is helping them. If you're in a spot where this type of loan is an option, you'll go get it where you can. At least these payday loan guys pay their taxes, unlike the Walmarts and fast food restaurants everywhere.
I, like most people, have experienced a few ailments of my own, but nothing like what Pat (a classmate of mine for three years in high school) has endured. Pat's and Roni's story allows each of us to put into perspective what matters and what doesn't. More than that, it demonstrates in real terms what love genuine love is, certainly not something to be deferred to an afterlife, but that may be engaged in with immediacy when opportunity presents itself. Pat and Roni are so fortunate to have the relationship they enjoy. What an astonishing story. Thank you for writing it. Pat O'Keeffe, Port Clinton, OH.
its all a joke, has insurance and was dropped. tryed to go back and get insurance with same companie, my plane had trippled in payment and got less of anything, wtf is that, i will pay the fine, its cheaper than health insurance.-
Every good con artist knows that there's bound to be some push back from the marks.
The 'Hope and Change' con-spiracy group in the White House is pulling out all the stops on this baby.
Let's see what they pull out of the hat next after this hogwash of 'Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics'.
If they're pegging their hope on Idaho, things must be getting thin out there in true-believer land.
Sorry about the bogus link to Gatto's site.
Here's the real link:
Here's to real reform of the educational system, and not just re-arranging the deck chairs in Slavelandia.
The odds on real reform aren't good, but surely are possible if enough people wake up from the deliberate trance they've been schooled in.
Here we go again with with another assault on the minds of children in the name of education.
And as usual it's diversionary tactics to avoid the real problems in public education.
Unless the goal is to produce productive worker bees that can give the correct answer to specified questions.
If you've done any investigation into the history of the US public education system, you know that the Rockefeller Foundation's General Education Board was the prime driver in its creation.
Rockefeller’s foundation was about systematizing us.
In 1913, the Sixty-Second Congress created a commission to investigate the role of the Carnegie and Rockefeller foundations, and of other corporate families. After a year of testimony it concluded:
"The domination of men in whose hands the final control of a large part of American industry rests, is not limited to their employees, but is being rapidly extended to control the education and social services of the nation."
And so it still goes.
The real crisis, or shall we say, travesty in education goes far deeper than the lack of enough funding or the right testing.
The whole system has been intentionally designed to produce a compliant, pliable laboring class to supply the corporations with workers to generate wealth for the business and ruling classes.
The primary reason for the current deterioration of the system is directly related to the shifting of corporate production to other more compliant, more pliable, lower paid wage slaves in countries with social contracts similar to those desired by the 'compassionate' conservatives in this country.
Therefore, the corporations no longer have the need they originally did for legions of wage slaves in the US and funding for 'education' is gradually drying up.
The increasing debt and joblessness of today's college graduates is just another result of this current reality.
It's about time that the masses snapped out of the 'we just don't have enough money' trance and took a look at the real issues.
Folks, we're running out of time here.
If you're interested in more history and solutions to the real problems with public education take a look at John Taylor Gatto's website.
Gatto climaxed his teaching career as New York State Teacher of the Year after being named New York City Teacher of the Year on three occasions. He quit teaching on the OP ED page of the Wall Street Journal in 1991 while still New York State Teacher of the Year, claiming that he was no longer willing to hurt children.
A quote from Gatto:
'The new purpose of schooling—to serve business and government—could only be achieved efficiently by isolating children from the real world, with adults who themselves were isolated from the real world, and everyone in the confinement isolated from one another.
Only then could the necessary training in boredom and bewilderment begin. Such training is necessary to produce dependable consumers and dependent citizens who would always look for a teacher to tell them what to do in later life, even if that teacher was an ad man or television anchor.'
What say you folks do an article on the Un-Affordable Care Act or the Obama(Doesn't)Care Act?
This thing is a scam from top to bottom and deserves some hard-hitting journalism.
So how about it?
There's plenty of facts out there and a lot of skeptical people out there as well.
