Re: “The Wrong Question: Idaho Labor Dept. Chief Target of EEOC Probe

This is very disappointing but not surprising. I hope this doesn't fall out of the news until the truth of this situation is explained.

Re: “Rep. Corn Dog (R-Idaho)

And if lying doesn't work, Idaho Dems might try running candidates who aren't prone to shooting up office supply stores or filing for unemployment payments when they lose an election. They could even try to find out why their brand is so toxic and change their platform accordingly, because, damn, only idiots do more of the same thing and expect different results.

Re: “Man vs. Wolf

What the hunters claim and what we have seen are two different things. They showed to be out of control. Killing was done in a cruel and sadistic manner. Children were participants. They smiled stepping on the carcasses of our animals, animals that belong to National Parks and our wilderness.

Re: “The Shape of Things

Another thoughtful and well reasoned discussion of possibilities and realities. Thank you, John, for the ongoing instruction in the liberal arts. My sense is your abstract and complex ideas leave some confused and flummoxed. Milton Erickson, the noted therapist urged his patients to think in may directions and consider many points of view. Erickson recognized that certainty resided in the reptilian brain and afforded no higher order frontal cortex activity. You always request your reader to think in a multitude of directions and recognize certainty is a form of rigidity that demands a trip to the library for more data and research. You do a wonderful job annoying both sides of any issue.

Re: “Attacks Mount over Sweetheart Broadband Deal

That's really too bad that Idahoans are caught up in the cycle of electing "Good old boys" when they know they are getting robbed .. abused and only God knows what else.. Of course the democrats are going to have issues and not everyone will agree but the fact of the matter is the voting on party line has stagnated this state and we are now in the lowest sectors when it comes to education and wages...I have only lived in Idaho for 20 years.. I am an African American man and I LOVE Idaho...But it really is time for a political change.. Maybe AJ just wasn't the one It's going to take a Demo to come out and take charge and not hold back!!

Re: “EV in the TV

The thing that is holding up the development of Electric Vehicles is battery technology. Nobody has come to market with a battery that has plenty of energy density, isn't heavy, isn't highly flammable, is good for thousands of recharges and doesn't cost a gazillion dollars.

Well spoken Mr. Logical! Completely agree. Didn't these whiny progressive libtards learn anything during the last election. Obviously not. Keep muddying the waters for yourselves liberals. It's fun to watch......

Why are you allowing posts in these comments that call for hunters to be killed???

Re: “Idaho Predator Derby Canceled on Federal Land

What a misleading headline. It did not stop the hunting on "Federal Lands". It just prevented the organizers from paying out prizes for those animals killed on "BLM" land. It still allows them to hunt and get paid for those animals killed on National Forest Lands.

Re: “Idaho's Unfinished Quilt of LGBT Protections

Boo freakin' hoo! I shouldn't have to do business with or hire someone I don't like be it because of their race or their "sexual orientation." Get over yourselves, if you want to be 'out and proud' quit trying to use government to force everyone else to join you in the parade.

Re: “The Wrong Question: Idaho Labor Dept. Chief Target of EEOC Probe

Don Dew sounds like a whiny bitch... What's wrong with asking someone if they're able to do the job they're interviewing for? If someone with no hands wants to interview as a hand model, it's fair to question their capabilities. The EEOC and the Idaho "Human Rights" Commission should be abolished.

We obviously need a "better" labor director, one that perhaps understands labor laws and common decency. Instead his incompetence will cost the taxpayers legal costs and an eventual judgement.

Re: “The Wrong Question: Idaho Labor Dept. Chief Target of EEOC Probe

I recently moved to Idaho and cannot believe that Idahoans re-elected Otter! This situation alone shows his dishonestly and "old boy" mentality. Ken Edmunds needs to be fired and Otter recalled!

Anybody who knows or has dealt with Ken Edmunds will not be surprised by his actions or this story. The real issue is how he got this job in the first place!!!

Re: “EV in the TV

That's a fine-looking Sprite! But too bad it's not a couple years older, with "bug eyes" - those are my favorites!

Good article with lots of useful info. Also, I thank "Dogood" for the relevant comment, and a good observation about why electric cars haven't gotten a better foothold. (I remember going to a COSTCO in the Phoenix area probably 10 years ago, and there were a half-dozen EV parking/charging spots - all empty. Is the charging station the chicken, or the egg?)

I didn't see anything in the article that would compel me to drop my local transportation vehicle of choice - a bicycle - and take to driving an electric car. And the reasons for not taking a road trip in an electric car are well delineated in the article. I'll pass, at least for now.
