I DO NOT understand all the dislikes and negative comments. Do you not realize what's at stake here? I would love to have you explain your reasons for the dislikes. Would appreciate hearing why you are so willing to protect criminals.

Re: “Idaho Legislator, Sponsor of Anti-Sanctuary Bill: 'I've Been Called Things That Wouldn't Be Printable'

Having grown up in CA where ILLEGALS are everywhere AND cost the taxpayers a LOT of money each year, I agree with this bill. So-called "sanctuary cities" that PROTECT those being harmed are one thing, but these are not those type of cities. These are trying to protect persons who BROKE THE LAWS OF AMERICA and NOT those who came here LEGALLY and deserve the chance to a better themselves and their families. They also violate FEDERAL LAW, which the liberals usually claim is superior to state law. I know people who came here LEGALLY, spent THOUSANDS of dollars and many long years to become CITIZENS. They would be appalled at these cities protecting those who refused to follow the same rules they CHOSE to.

Re: “Boise "Welcoming City" Resolution Affirms City Commitment to Immigrants, Disgust With National Immigration Actions

Boise needs to stand up and be the sanctuary city that it should be.......there are needs not being met and only the strong can stand firm against the likes of Trump and his fascist cronies who are trying to take unlawful control of what the right thing is to do regarding those less fortunate. Be a voice for true freedom Boise. Stop "the ban"

Too bad Idaho citizens have to endure such a hateful ignorant "lawmaker".....he should be, but probably won't be, ashamed for such a position.

@ Jon-
How long have you lived here? If not before Mayor Bieter's time, trust me, things were MUCH worse. He has cleaned up the politics in Boise, and I hope he can roll on to Governor.

Re: “UPDATE: Idaho House Kills Bill That Would Outlaw Lottery's Electronic Touch-Tabs

Anti-Trust laws need to be implemented on the World Wide Monopolized Media, mostly fake news coming from these monoliths...Part them out and sell them off. As for your Hitler comment Hitler was not elected by the people he took power by force, like the rioters brown shirts in the streets today for example Berkeley California suppressing free speech....... When you report Fake News and incite the people to riot it has consequences called sedition..

The real story here is why are refugees skirting Normal Immigration Procedure? The whole of the Refugee program should be shut down....

Re: “A New State Department Order to Revoke Visas Could Have Far-Reaching Effects

This signals the beginning. Next they will go after our own citizens. The educated, the dissenters, the press. Very dangerous days ahead as we become like countries we have only read about. Think it can't happen? Read history. That's what they always think.

I am willing to put money into helping the Recall of the Mayor if somebody wants to organize a Recall and get a signed petition going...... Like I say do you want the city council creating problems or solving problems............... Time for new blood........Article VI, Section 6 of the Idaho Constitution guarantees the right of the people to recall any board member.

Re: “It's Back: Anti-Sharia Law Measure Resurfaces at Idaho Legislature

An utter waste of time and taxpayer money. Under no circumstance would any foreign law ever supercede domestic law on U.S. soil. Such legislation is redundant and serves only to occupy space.

Has the mayor considered purchasing "My Condolences" cards with to hand out at detainment facilities? Or does his office foresee a jurisdictional issue in delivering signed envelopes to Caldwell?

Re: “ACHD: Idaho Law is 'Ambiguous' on Who Should Be Shoveling Boise Streets

Just another case of two government agencies fighting like 10 year old's while the people footing the bill (tax payers) suffer. Why not just get the job done for the safety aspect and sort the problem out come June or July. Sure glad property taxes went up so instead of getting better service we can pay for the lawyers

Yeah right. a lovely sentiment but not effin likely given the regard they give to the homeless. "Welcome to Boise! You're going to Spokane!"

How many times have a I heard a Christian Preacher claim that we ought to ignore the U.S. Constitution and instead be ruled by Biblical Law?

Felt intimidated by an RV? Ya I know what you mean. I was intimidated by a Budweiser Truck once. Had to Have therapy for almost a year. You should see the PTSD I go through when I hear the song or see the Clydesdale Horses with those blinders on their eyes! What were they doing with those shading their eyes? I don't trust them an inch!

Re: “ACHD: Idaho Law is 'Ambiguous' on Who Should Be Shoveling Boise Streets

I find two things funny about this.
1) they cite that homeowners should shovel. In my neighborhood the only sidewalks shoveled are the homeowner's but nothing is done on what I would call city sidewalks that are in front of schools or around subdivisions etc.
2) They try to excuse because of record snow. Ahem, even moderate years no one does those non-homeowner sidewalks and the fact that they have not been touched at all makes the excuse kinda stupid.
