I'm currently pregnant with twins and have had to use the "private" insurance option--which in Idaho really isn't an option. In addition to lacking coverage (minimum 5,000 deductable) Blueshield has also tagged me as "high risk" after losing a baby to a random abnormality last year with no genetic link. This has put a huge strain on our family as my husband has been unemployed for seven months. A public health care option that would have been very useful as the financial strain has been overwhelming. My husband and I are both college educated and despite our experience and education, we have certainly felt the strain of our current economic woes in Boise.
