Having been to France several times, I was desperate for some good French food. I went in hoping to enjoy the work of the good chef I'd heard about (and looking for the hag mentioned by another rater). To my surprise, the service was excellent and the food outstanding. The woman who served us was lively and kind. Between our party of six we had virtually everything on the menu. Not one person was disappointed. My in-laws, who are usually skeptical about foreign food, loved the place. My father-in-law loved the lamb and mom loved the scallops.
The staff (server, chef, and one other helper) acted rather French overall. It reminded me of my dining experiences in France. Maybe the rater who referred to the hag has never been to other countries, where service can be really awful. I found the service to be as good of better than most places and the people to be rather French in their demeanor, which gave the whole experience a greater taste of authenticity.
In short, if you want good French food, this is the best you'll find without going to New York City or France. I'd go back in a minute. It's not the cheapest restaurant in the world, but it's reasonable, given the authentic taste and feel.
