airtanker pilot and wildland firefighter. More of a small government social libertarian, that thinks that both social conservatives and social liberals want way too much…
I can not really call myself a Democrat, more of a traditional Republican before the social conservatives jumped over to the GOP. But he certainly has my support. The GOP is going to have to end the clown show that has been going on for years, and tell these people to take a hike.
Its unfortunate for the GOP, but the people working on quality of life issues, and thinking ahead, are the Democrats. The GOP needs to get its act together, get back to its roots, and start working on real issues, rather than trying to refight the same divisive social issues. Even Gov Otter is embarrassed over these people.
If the wolves would make the elk extinct, it would have happened a long time ago. Wolves did not just suddenly appear in people country. Actually it was people that came to wolf country.
If wolves are depressing populations of elk and caribou, then its probably bringing it back to a normal level like when there were originally wolves. People killing off predators has allowed unnatural amounts of game animals like elk, deer, caribou etc.
People need to quit acting like wolves are some natural invasive foreign animal that was never around and realize its easier to work with nature, than to try and constantly fight it.
Well the airspace above Boise is not a "Miltary Operating Area", nor do you see military jets overhead with manuvers over those schools that you mentioned. You will however look up from those places and see airliners on a regular basis.
and yes, those F-35 will take off and then do their training over the desert outside of town, like they do already. If you think the only jobs that would result from an F-35 training squadron being in Boise are just check cashing stores, and that moving F-35s here will result in training overhead Boise for teaching pilots, well you are rather uninformed on the issue and likely some knee jerk anti-military type who thinks negatively of our military and those who serve in it.
Correct, the F-4s that were there for a long time would have been more noisy. And if you do not like aircraft noise, do not move next to an airport. That airport has existed there for a very long time! Lots of people move next to airports, then complain about the noise.
