Amy: I smoked for 45 years. Over a year ago, on March 27, 2009 I switched to inhaling vaporized nicotine from a product popularly called an "electronic cigarette." It took a little work, as I needed to increase the strength of the nicotine liquid in my cartridges, and to learn a slightly different puffing technique, in order to maintain normal mood and cognitive skills (I have adult Attention Deficit Disorder, which nicotine keeps under control.) But soon I lost all desire to light up a tobacco cigarette. The last time I tried it, the dern thing tasted awful and I put it out after one puff.
