I have to say that it took a lot of courage to even open the ugly front door, but what a wonderful little dream Jeffrey's is. The facade of the building is in no way a forward to the clean and tastefully decorated restaurant that awaits. Unfortunately there is an ever-present smell of cigarette smoke in the air, which I could certainly do without. I still wasn't convinced after reading the menu... how could entrees priced so inexpensively possibly be anything but frozen then fried?! I opted for the Battered Halibut with Buttermilk Onion Rings and a salad with blue cheese (bread and soup or salad included). Our salads were crisp and fresh, the bread warm and the Halibut & Onion Rings absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The portions were quite large and very satisfying. Two entrees and two drinks only came to $22!!! My only question, how can Jeffry make a profit on such high quality food for such a low price?? Must be the low overhead!
