Because the City allowed the dumping of all of that material there. All through that area was where they dumped everything from road and sidewalk construction for years after they took all the gravel out of them. I would ride my bike down to those ponds and fish. There was always a dump truck dumping pieces of roads or sidewalks and other construction waste into the edge of those ponds. Pretty sad looking back on it now.
Pete Nielsen is a hypocrite of the highest order if he voted for the Lottery. You are playing odds when you buy a ticket. If that isn't gambling, what is?
In Alaska its daylight for days at a time, and night time for days at a time. They deal with it. Just pick one, set it, and leave it. We are a 24 hour society any more with people working day and night. I think any "Energy savings" discussions are pretty much a worthless point.
I applaud KeyBank and Les Bois for stepping up, but they are part of the problem as well. They profit from people going negative in their bank accounts. A person has to make the choice of paying the Bank a 35 dollar fee and the company who gets the returned check another fee or pay the interest on a payday loan that is cheaper than overdraft fee's they may incur at the bank alone. The banks will always protect their income though.
The Reuseum built themselves a 3-D printer several months ago and I got to see the things this printer makes. This technology is simply amazing.
Awesome! I love the Flying M! I used to drive from Caldwell on Saturday mornings to get Coffee before they even thought about Nampa!
I havent been shopping there as long as many folks have, but my experience is one that will carry with me for a long time to come. Im old school in the respect that I expect service with my purchase. OBG offered that and more. They knew who I was when I came in. The last few years all the big gifts for my kids have come from there. OBG's gifts to the community will leave a huge hole when they are gone.
