Our contracts are industry-standard and very similar to other fitness centers with comparable amenities. But we understand that it can be very overwhelming when thinking of signing a contract. People often feel pressured to sign and not fully absorb what they are agreeing to.
For this reason we at Idaho Athletic Club have implemented the ‘Three Day Right to Rescind’ if you change your mind about your agreement. This allows you to take your contract home to look it over and think more about if it is right for you.
IAC respects and supports our troops and we are glad to release an individual from their contract if they are serving elsewhere. If your family has been given orders to another location then please call us immediately to resolve this. IAC also understands that being a parent is quite the task, and as a parent, children will keep your hands full. For this, we have childcare available at our clubs, and children 10 years of age an older are allowed to use the facilities when accompanied by a parent of guardian.
Regarding the BBB, we at IAC have tens of thousands of members between all of our locations and only having 45 complaints on record at the BBB over the last 3 years is actually quite low. We value our members and try to ensure top-quality service for them.
If there are other things you are still concerned over, please feel free to call our member services at our new corporate office at 208.884.4635 and we can discuss how to resolve this situation for you. We hope to hear from you soon.
I’m so sorry for the misunderstanding regarding your contract. I hope we can get this resolved for you.
Short-term memberships are in fact offered at Idaho Athletic Club for 3 months. This is not advertised as ‘summer memberships,’ because it is available year-round; not just during the summer. The rates for this program are higher per month versus the lower rates that are available for full contracts, and must be paid in full upfront.
However, there is a separate summer special that we do advertise for and is called ‘Work out the Summer for Free’. This is a free first summer in addition to the full contract where the dues do not begin until the end of September and lasts 24 months, but again the monthly cost is cheaper because of the contract.
If the short-term membership was the type of membership you had, it would be indicated on the contract you signed. If you are not certain what type of membership you had or if you no longer have a copy of your contract, we have them on file and can go over it with you. Please do not hesitate to call our member services at our new corporate office at 208.884.4635 and we can discuss how to resolve this situation. We hope to hear from you soon.
