As of 5:30 on 12-09-10 the club is closed indefinitely. I just left there but was able to talk with Jim's sister Garlena. It looks like he isn't even man enough (reference earlier post by him) to confront his members himself. Talk about the pot calling the kettle back. She has stated that another club might come and try to reopen the facility. This is a load of B.S. When I was done working out of Tuesday I saw Jim for the first time in a month or so. He claimed that he was not trying to rip anyone off, that he has a line of credit to pay back members who have pre-paid (myself included in that group), that the club wasn't closing the doors until Friday, and that he is meeting with the building owner this Friday 12/10/10 to try and get his ex-partner off the lease. This was all smoke and mirrors. As he looked into my eyes and flapped his gums he was lying the whole time. The club actually closed the very next hour, there is no line of credit, and the club will not be reopening anytime soon (especially under his name). His sister was handing out a flyer claiming that Jim has worked out a deal with Gold's Gym on Parkcenter and they will do what they can to help out. Guess what.... this is B.S. too. Golds is not going to honor your membership if you prepaid a yearly at Parkcenter Fitness and they don't have anything in the works to do so. I know this cause I just got off the phone with them. All we members can do is report this to the BBB and hope for the best. One last avenue to explore is if you paid with a credit card you might be able to get your money back by claiming fraudulent charges. If the contract wasn't fulfilled in its entirety thats a breach of contract and can be looked upon as fraud. This town is small and very interconnected. This is good for those who do good work and are honest, but for those who are dishonest and unethical this behavior will be their demise. His name is James G. Rumsey, not Ramsey. If someone wants to call a news station and see if they'll cover this, more power to you.
