Re: “Goldfish Racing

This is sick. How would they like it if someone blew air up their asses to win a bar tab, freaks. Leave those fish alone. Find a cool game that doesn't involve torturing animals.

Re: “Labrador Tells ABC's This Week: "I Want Three Things"

I think Labrador's argument is really outdated at this point, even top Hill republicans aren't suggesting not taxing top earners, and are even considering revising corporate tax brackets.

I always equate these freshman DC reps with the nerdy, outcasts in high school, the ones who would do and say anything to join the popular jocks and cheerleaders.

His message is empty and irrelevant. I guess he didn't get the memo that he's allowed brainstorm alternative substantive solutions.

Re: “Recall Luna Committee to Begin Door-to-Door Canvass Saturday

So excited to exercise our right to save our education system! I sincerely think Luna should've listened the first time everyone spoke up, staying the course was a bad bad idea.

Re: “JFAC Cuts Funding for Hispanic Commission, Considers Longer Liquor Store Hours

Furthermore, wouldn't it be devasting if the agency disappeared altogether, and no one could tell the difference? I'm not sure anyone could tell the difference because there isn't a whole lot detailing what the agency does do.

I've never seen more ability for a dying agency to survive than to join forces with other alternative community targets. The homeless, the battered, the trannies, the artists, the gays, the blacks, the tree-huggers, the hipsters. When you break out of the "we're alone in this" mentality, there is a lot you can do through sheer numbers. The only way to push back against the Idaho conservative stronghold is to scratch each other's backs.

We don't all know what it feels like to be Mexican-American, or homosexual, or homeless..........but we all know how it feels to be ignored, undervalued, made fun of, told we're not good enough.

Re: “JFAC Cuts Funding for Hispanic Commission, Considers Longer Liquor Store Hours

When your funding is reduced by 21%, it's time to mobilize, time to get on the offensive, time to utilize your allies, time to create powerful allies. Where is the management of this agency? It is clearly lacking, when JFAC goes back and slashes your budget for a second time and all anyone ever hears is silence... no media blitz, no demonstrations, no banging pots and pans at the statehouse.

What's sad is you have hundreds of folks on a Saturday afternoon fighting for the rights of people 3 states over... these people are hungry to take up a cause. What better cause than equality for a marginalized, economically-challenged local community?

I don't care if there are just 3 employees, it could be a one-person army for all I care. We did it in California for Mexican-Americans, we should have the hang of it by now here in Idaho. There is a gaping hole where there should be a thriving Mexican-American middle-class, but it doesn't exist. Mexican-American leadership is sorely lacking here in Idaho, it's evident that there is no connect on any level with the people powerful enough to steer our destiny here.

Wake up, hire some professionals, politics cannot be won with the same old rhetoric.

Re: “Rallies Across Idaho Protest Proposed Cuts to Medicaid

Black and White. These are not wealthy people, they don't dress rich, they don't drive fancy cars, not one of them looked like they had a cause, except to have the very basics with dignity. I wish you were there, it really put a face on what the program does.

I attended the demonstration in Nampa, and I was overwhelmed by the diversity, the unity, and all those wonderful smiles. It felt good to stand with them.

Re: “Idaho Rivers United Protest Mega-Loads in Boise

To the commenter CSjj, you can't even articulate what exactly you're getting out of this deal. "Stimulus", "oil and gas", do these things manifest into anything in particular? Butch is leading you by the nose. We're also going to start storing nuclear waste near an aquifer that servies a quarter million people in Idaho with drinking water. Butch has been quite busy selling us out along with future generations. When asked what we get out of the nuclear waste deal, Butch said we get a library, which educates us on the storage. I wonder what he gets out of it...

It's very tragic, this governorship. My hope for Idahoans, is that they wake up.
