I grew up in the ward where Danny attended Church. He was very friendly and going to Church and talking to the members was the highlight of his week. The members of the Church loved him and did what could to help him feel included. I also know that he wasn't taken care of too well. He never bathed, his house was deplorable, and I could tell that he rarely left his house. I'm sure that Margaret loved him but I just can't see how she could neglect him so much despite having all that money. I thought back then that there was probably something wrong with her. That was all ten years ago! I can't imagine how much has changed since she turned 95. Is it that far fetched to think that she no longer had the mental ability to care for her son and manage his dwindling estate? Do you really believe that the mayor would really have a woman be committed that had full power over her mental being?
I think this article is nothing but a bigoted, one-sided attack on the lds church. I guess libel and stupid conspiracy theories is the only thing that can sell the Boise Weekly. For accurate news I’m going to the Statesman.
