Be honest y'all, "Chief of Schools" Sherri Ybarra makes you long for the days of Tom Luna.
So sad to see you go. I loved introducing visitors and friends to your store.
New York brownstones and European neighborhoods where the first level is slightly elevated and sits back from the sidewalk behind a small garden could be models. But, if more residents move in, then demand grows. Of course, if they can have professional offices in their homes, they could pick up some slack.
It is a great location for a skate park--a redesigned and built world class facility will be fantastic! As for the homeless, when the funding for psychiatric care, half-way houses and support services to help the mentally ill and destitute was eliminated, the only logical conclusion was that they'd end up in the street. The bridge is the closest "shelter" to remaining homeless services. We need to address the needs of the working homeless, jobless and mentally ill as well.
Raedean's has been a wonderful link to the heyday of friendly mom and pop diners. The service has always been great and the food comforting. We'll definitely swing by one more time to enjoy a cuppa' and some pie.
I'm looking forward to doing some amazing, creative, cutting edge wedding flowers!!!
