"be nice" tough economy or not, if you are going to have a restaurant....keep it clean. I put the responsibility back on the owners. Maybe they would still be in business if they headed proper cleaning. The place was on food network, and therefore had plenty of good press. I don't even live in Boise and I sought it out. I empathize with all of the workers, but my comments are spot on why the place failed.
Place was very dirty when I went there. I was really excited to visit after seeing them on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Well the dive part was right. In order to have a successful restaurant with an open kitchen, the kitchen needs to look clean. The look of the kitchen and the rotting food on the other side of the counter made me decide to never come back. Too bad, because it was a great idea.
