Lots of misunderstanding here of what the Bible teaches. First married is not about reproduction. God recognizes marriage even when the couple is too old to have children or are unable to. That is not the reason Christians oppose gay marriage. Second Sodom and Gomorrah was not about God judging gays. Those towns were full of every kind of evil. They wanted to rape the men Lot brought into his house and he even considered handing over his daughter to them to rape to spare his angelic visitors (though he did not realize they had the power to prevent that as we see). I don't know of any community of gays that would surround a house and try and beat down the door and demand to be allowed to rape the visitors! This was unrestrained evil and that is what God judged. The evil was of multiple kinds. Like many things in the Old Testament God used these two cities as an example of how He feels about evil. It was not meant to establish a pattern. Yes God could have chosen another city and another time but this is what he chose.
The bottom line is that God defined marriage as one man and one woman. That has never changed. They had gays in OT times and still the definition of marriage never changed. That is what the Bible teaches. Obviously you are free to reject that but we live in a democracy where each can vote their convictions. This option piece did not correctly represent the Christian/Biblical view. So it's really just spreading misunderstanding.
