The medications and supplements given to horses were never meant for consumption of any kind. The ramification of ingesting such things via horse meat is a concern and although horses are shipped to Canadian and Mexican slaughter houses, not being aware of possible outcomes toward human health is foolhardy.
Reviewing crisis response is great, however, if officers are not availed of further training, such as threat assessment, non-violent disarmament, and situation urgency evaluation, then we will stay in the same boat. Enhancing training for officers and being able to plug into crisis teams from local mental health facilities could go along way in saving lives and increasing trust in law enforcement. These officers have a difficult job and warrant as much training as we can get them. This is something worthy of a serious fund raising effort.
I hope Idaho's talented artists answer this call. It would mean so much to highlight a local (Idaho) artist and give the public another chance to enjoy part of the wealth of talent in our state.
Just a question for you all. In a Wall Street journal article recently ( Aug. 24,2012) Stephen Moore, a conservative, wrote of border wars between Maryland (Dem. governor) and Virginia ( Republican governor) indicating that the conservative efforts of the Virginia governor were more successful. In light of that, why don't more conservative states such as Idaho adopt what this Virginia governor is doing? If it is that successful, Idaho could use the success. Inquiring minds and all that...
