I'd agree with the above commenter. I scheduled this guy to tension and true a newly laced wheel with the agreement he'd teach me the process while he worked. Halfway through the truing, I could tell he wasn't very competent. He also promised to forward some literature on wheel truing but numerous e-mails went unanswered.
The irony was he talked trash about a local bike shop that eventually helped me learn to true a wheel.
Bottom line - I didn't learn anything, it cost me $40 and the wheel went out of true about a month later.
In a related story, there's been a spike in complaints by parents of watered down booze in their home liquor cabinets.
