I'm sorry, but this ban is ludicrous. I smoked for almost forty years. I was born into an era where both my parents smoked (and it killed them both), people on tv, in movies and magazines smoked. They made it look sophisticated and "cool". Thankfully today that image is long gone and the public is aware of the damage smoking does, but that didn't help me through those years. The addiction is the most severe I can think of. I stopped numerous times, cold turkey and using cessation aids (which is a multi-billion dollar business in itself). Nothing was permanent. I bought a vaping system and stopped smoking that very day. I am slowly lowering the level of nicotine in my vaping fluid, but have no immediate plans to stop using the system. I simply enjoy it. I enjoyed smoking, which was the root of the problem, but was aware all the time of the harm it was doing. So far vaping has had absolutely no ill effects, and I continually search the web for results of legitimate studies on vaping. I am now a non-smoker because of it, and I plan to be a non-smoker for the rest of my life thanks to it. I don't carry it and use it always, so I do not expect to feel an effect from this sophomoric, ill-informed attempt to stop public vaping as if it were actual smoking. But as someone who has FINALLY found a safe substitute to that horrible, insidious, wicked habit, I am deeply and sincerely embarrassed by our public officials who feel the need to regulate something they have absolutely no real information about.
