I'd like to know why St. Lukes isn't considering an underpass for Jefferson. They would achieve the critical footprint they are looking for and keep the street open. Maybe there is some engineering reason for not considering it. If so, they need to explain that.
I understand that people are upset about the new parking scheme. That isn't the issue between ACHD and the City of Boise, though. It's all about who controls the right of way. The city should be able to manage parking and ACHD should let them. Sure, express your concerns to the city council. If enough people are upset, maybe some will get voted out. ACHD, though, is poor venue for this kind of issue. The people of Boise vote for a couple of commissioners, so have a smaller voice on ACHD. They do vote for all the counselors, and mayor.
Chasing this back to who made the first mistake is pointless. Someone needs to run for ACHD Commissioner with a platform of giving cities more say in transportation choices. Oh, wait. I am! https://www.facebook.com/VoteRickJust
