is this really all there is to First Thursday anymore - an art walk?
Can we talk about gang-rape for a minute? I'd like to. I'd like to know why Idaho's two Senators, Crap and Rich, voted against Senator Al Franken's anti-rape amendment to the Defense Appropriations Bill recently. Its all over the cable channels but no mention in Boise media at all that I can find. WTF? Woops, excuse me - What the Fuck?
Why isn't some fucking journalist confronting these fucking assholes about their stupid fucking votes? Franken introduced the amendment in response to the case of a woman who was gang-raped by a bunch of scumbags who worked for Haliburton subsidiary, KBR in Iraq - then they locked her in a fucking storage container and told her she'd better not report what they'd done to her!
Current laws prohibit her from suing ... she is required to settle for "arbitration" - which means the fucking scumbags responsble for her being gang-raped are going to listen to her complain about it - what are the chances those guys are going to say, "You're right young lady, we shouldn't have allowed those guys to rape you, so we'll fine ourselves $10, ok? now get your pretty little ass outa here 'cause we're getting kinda turned on here!"
Idaho Senators Crapo and Risch were among the few Senators who actually voted against an anti-rape amendment to the 2010 Dept. of Defense appropriations bill recently - fortunately the amendment passed but why haven't these two been asked to justify their votes? I can't find any local news coverage of this, anywhere. Why?
Every hotel/motel I've stayed in, Idaho and everywhere else, promotes pornography channels through their in-house cable tv systems. They've been doing it for years. Did you ask any of them how much money they make on those? Have their been attempts by the liars and crooks in the legislature to block the pornography channels from the "hospitality industry" cable tv systems?
Oh please. The Record Exchange used to be a unique, interesting building that was fun to look at each morning on the drive to work. Now its an ugly eye-sore. The horrible orange color and sophmoric drawings certainly do not indicate to me that there is a "hip" business within and the "vision" was stale immediately. Thanks for removing one of the coolest murals in town and replacing it with such an embarrasing mess of paint. Perhaps you could make that wall around the downtown hole in the ground your next project - Toby Robin may be the only person in the world who could make that location even more embarassing.
