according to this calendar, these guys will be rolling around on the floor together in two different cities, Meridian and Nampa, at the same exact time. I only wish there were a way I could be in both places at once to watch all the action.
Holly Sutherland, one should not invoke the name of Jesus Christ when commenting on the bigotry of Idaho's "leaders."
Apparently nobody in the room, especially the big shot from Miami, is aware that young Idahoans, or "the target demographic" don't often choose to live in downtown Boise, they choose to live in some other state where they can find good jobs. Statistics from the Idaho Department of Labor show more young adults are leaving the state than moving here.
One moment, I'm hearing the lady say people will pay a premium for homes in places with high walk-scores and the next minute it seems the conversation is about those "young people." I don't know a great number of young people who can afford to pay a premium for a home with a high walk-score. In fact, most of the young people I know can't afford a home at all. So it would seem this conversation is a waste of time.
Ooops. One wonders how the professional 'planners' who work for the city can approve an apartment project in an area where parking is and has been an impossibility for years, without suggesting the developer include 'parking' in his little money grubbing plan. I bet a parking garage, underground parking, etc. would cost a lot, huh? Much easier to just tell potential residents they'll have to get rid of their cars and invest in a nice bicycle! Seems the pros not only abused their discretion, they abused common sense. Can you look into what, if anything, they had to say about the total absence of parking facilities in the project?
Lorna - thank you so much for confirming our suspicions that a lot of idaho republicans are totally brain dead. You stay at home and hold a picture of that idiot butch otter close to your heart on wednesday .. maybe spend some time making a list of all the great things he has done for you and the state. While you're at it, make a list of all those things you seem to think the President has done to "damage the Democratic Party." You're not to damn bright are ya?
Am I reading this right, that this is another case of a bicyclist ignoring a stop sign? I can't even tell you how many times I've had to hit the brakes to avoid slamming into a bicyclist who never even slowed down at an intersection where they were supposed to stop, either for a sign or a light. How tragic.
he has already appealed folks.. the cowboy doesn't care how much of our tax money he has to spend.. he will prove to the world that he is exactly as much of an idiot as the 9th Circuit Judges say he is in their ruling - I love this line on Pg 28: - "To allow same-sex couples to adopt children and then to label their families as second-class because the adoptive parents are of the same sex is cruel as well as unconstitutional. Classifying some families, and especially their children, as of lesser value should be repugnant to all those in this nation who profess to believe in “family values.”
I've spent an hour trying to find when this meeting will start and where it will be. There is no mention of meeting times on the commission's website.. and of course.. no mention of it in this damn article. Frustrating.
