Be a Team Player

Tired of the way government is run? Sure you could do a better job than the guys in control? Here's your chance to prove it.

Ada County is looking for volunteers to serve on two citizen advisory committees to help guide county policy and decisions.

First, volunteers are needed for the Ada County Housing Authority's board of directors. Next, a volunteer is needed for the Ada County Waterways Advisory Committee, which works with the County Board of Commissioners.

A lay member is also needed to serve a three-year term on the Ada County Building Board of Appeals. Finally, the Board of Community Guardians is looking for a member to help with volunteers who serve as court-appointed guardians for those unable to make decisions for themselves because of physical or mental impairments.

Anyone interested in the positions may visit the county Web site at adaweb.net, clicking on the Volunteer Board Information link on the Commissioners page. Applications may also be picked up in person at the Ada County Courthouse, 200 W. Front Street, in Boise.
