Have you seen this cartoon? Police are hoping this composite drawing will light their path to a man who attempted to assault a woman on the Greenbelt last Sunday.
The victim told police that just after 9 a.m., she was walking her two dogs near the 1100 block of River Street when this man approached from the opposite direction. After passing her, the man tried to push her into some nearby bushes and verbally threatened her. The woman told police she did not see any weapons, and when she began hollering for help, the suspect ran away. Officers were unable to locate him during a subsequent search of the area.
The suspect is described as a clean-cut white man in his early 20s, five feet, 10 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds. He wore a dark collared T-shirt, green khaki shorts and shoes with no socks. Judging by the drawing, he also had big dopey bat-ears, one of those skeezy little beards that requires way too much maintenance and a haircut so greased back, the artist just drew a bunch of squiggly lines going in the same direction. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
