Birds of a Feather: Idaho SOS Candidate Hitches Wagon to Duck Dynasty

Lawerence Denney says he has visited the clan's Louisiana digs and one of the members of the "dynasty," Phil Robertson's son Alan, conducted the wedding ceremony for Denney's daughter.

Idaho House Republican Rep. Lawerence Denney, candidate for Idaho Secretary of State, is embracing the controversial clan known better as the Duck Dynasty. In fact, he says his upcoming VIP fundraiser with the Robertson family, scheduled for Saturday, March 29, in Nampa, will be a bit of a reunion. Denney says he has visited the clan at their Louisiana digs and one of the members of the "dynasty," Phil Robertson's son Alan, even conducted the wedding ceremony for Denney's daughter.

"We've known of them for quite a while," Denney told the Coeur d'Alene Press.

In a sit-down with the Press' editorial team, Denney said Idaho Congressman Raul Labrador has already jumped on Denney's campaign bandwagon and agreed to serve as co-chair of the campaign.

"We think that we will get some other big name endorsements," Denney told the Press.
