The Boise Bicycle Project (BBP) is a community-orientated co-op that promotes the social and environmental benefits of bicycling. You can work on your personal bicycle two ways at the BBP: become a member (starts at $60/year) or come as a walk-in ($10/hour). In either case, you will be paired with a mechanic who will educate and walk you through your needed repairs. You can also shop for quality and affordable bicycles and parts, or donate your old bicycle here. BBP also needs volunteers. Visit the website for more details.
