A Boise man is behind bars, charged with aggravated battery and second-degree kidnapping.
Law enforcement was called to a hotel at the intersection of Vista Avenue and Sunrise Rim in the evening hours of June 15. Witnesses said the suspect, 25-year-old Jesse Pina of Boise, assaulted a woman and confined her to a hotel room. Pina, who was also wanted for probation violation and failure to appear, was booked into the Ada County Jail on charges of aggravated battery, second-degree kidnapping, probation violation and two charges of failure to appear.
Police were also summoned to a bar on the 600 block of Main Street on Wednesday evening. Witnesses said an adult male had been acting unruly and asked to leave, but when employees attempted to escort the man out, he reportedly threw a glass, striking a bar employee on the head with it.
David Albert, 22, of Meridian was booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony count of aggravated battery.
