The name of a Boise man who was struck and killed by an automobile April 8 has been released.
Joel Eggers, 64, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. His name was released by the Ada County Coroner after notification of Eggers' family.
Meanwhile, the driver of the automobile, Tyler C. Martinez, has been held in Ada County Jail charged with a felony count of agents warrant-probation violation. He was arraigned April 11. So far, no further charges have been filed against the suspect.

A Boise pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle.
Witnesses told Boise Police officers at 2:42 p.m. April 8, the motorist, who was driving northbound on Development Road near its intersection with Robinson Road in Boise, crossed the center line and entered the southbound lane, then left the roadway. The vehicle then struck a man walking on the west side of the road and came to a stop only after hitting a fence.
The man, who was 64 years old, died from his injuries en route to a local hospital. The Ada County Coroner's office is withholding his name until his family has been notified.
The driver of the vehicle, Tyler C. Martinez, was taken to Ada County Jail, charged with felony agents warrant-probation violation. Police will continue investigating the crash.
