Boise Weekly Open House • The Misfits Coming to Town • More on The Core

On Friday, we here at Boise Weekly held an open house to show off our new digs at 523 Broad Street. Our fabulous new art was installed, our beautiful new sign was up and several of our clients, friends and family were there to help us celebrate our new space. If you haven't seen it yet, drive down 6th Street toward Flicks. With our fab new sign up on the building, you can't miss us.

The Misfits are coming to town. I know I mentioned that once before, but it's news worth a second (or third or fourth) mention. Featuring original members Jerry Only and Robo and Black Flag guitarist Dez Cardena, it's almost more than I can take. Cephalic Carnage and Into the Moat will be there as support. This is an all-ages show at The Core with a full bar which means those of you old enough to remember the Misfits need to bring those too young to remember and let them make some memories of their own. Tickets are $18 in advance and are available at Ticketweb outlets or $22 at the door. Tickets should be on sale right now, but I couldn't find the show listed on ticketweb.com. Maybe I just missed it, so get online and see for yourself or check out www.thecoreboise.com for more information.

More on The Core: I found this little gem on their Web site: "We are pleased to announce that we have added a second venue. "Grove Street." This is an all-ages venue with a full bar and 300 capacity. It is on the corner of Grove and 16th in the old Imparts Store downtown." Very interesting. Let me know if you hear more.
