Five days after her body was pulled from the Boise River, the Ada County Coroner's office identified the woman this morning as 25-year-old Amanda Reyes. The coroner said the woman probably died of drowning, but the exact cause of death is pending toxicology tests which may take several weeks. The coroner said there were no obvious signs of injury.
Boise Police said they have found no evidence of foul play, but the investigation into Reyes' death continues.
Two passersby spotted the body the morning of May 25, floating just west of the Main Street bridge. A Boise police officer, with assistance from the Boise Fire Dive Rescue team, was able to pull the body of the river near 38th Street in Garden City.
